CRHB + Custom Crosshair Support for Default HUD

Description
Centered Radial Health Bar

An experimental, accessible UI addon that places a radial health bar at the center of your screen. It essentially functions the same as a custom crosshair would, meaning you can later add a custom radial health bar.
Also comes bundled with custom crosshair support, think of it as like a two for one deal I guess.

Do you have tunnel vision or have a hard time keeping track of your health? This addon might be for you.

This addon will outright replace the local player panel, so addons that change the texture of the UI elements themselves are okay but UI addons that lower the weapon panel for example will not work.

If you have the default HUD, subscribe to this. If you have a HUD that is CRHB compatible, then there's no need to subscribe to this addon. Afterwards, make sure to subscribe to any of the custom healthbar textures from the collection listed above.

BUGS/CAVEATS:
  • The health bar is monocolor, regardless of how much health you have.
  • Temporary health shows up as normal health (No ticks).
  • When you die, a small chunk of health will remain on the radial health bar, this is because the game, internally, sets the player's health to 1 when you die (for whatever reason).
  • When you're incapped, the radial health bar will only decrement once health reaches below 100.
  • If you get punched off the map by a Tank and fall to your death, it may show the last amount of health that you had. (I haven't been able to replicate this but thanks to Interneted for reporting this bug.)
  • When playing online and you're waiting to be rescued, the radial health bar will show half of your health. (Thanks to Interneted for reporting this bug.)

The problems listed above are beyond my control and unfortunately cannot be fixed due to technical limitations.

hey Tomaz, any ideas which HUDS are compatible with this mod? any huds I have tried will conflict and completely break the HUD unless it only changes the Health Bar texture

thanks i appreciate it :steamhappy:

yeah it kinda makes sense to just leave it out for the incap panel but i like to leave it in my huds anyway just for the sake of the convenience of everyone else who prefers
to divert their attention to the center of the screen as much as possible

By the way, tomaz, when integrating support for your CRHB mods in my HUD mod,

I managed to circumvent/avoid a lot of the bugs/caveats you mentioned just by not putting CRHB support in the localplayerpanel_incap.res file.

Since, in my head, you technically have 0 HP anyway, and you probably have another HUD mod telling you the incapped health in some way, I figured you don't need to see a radial health bar while you're downed.

Since I didn't yoink your assets though and I only added support for the framework, I still have the issue that temp HP shows up as normal HP.

Just letting you know!

Hello tomaz, thank you for your wonderful work.

I added support for your CRHB mods in my own HUD mod that I've been working on for a while, just because I like the idea of having a circular health bar once in a while. My HUD mod is here on the Steam Workshop , and I've made sure to credit you for the innovation of the CRHB framework. I've also included a link to this mod when crediting you.

what would be a nice version of this is one that removes the default corner health bar and centers the other 3 below the radial bar

Is it possible to make a vertical health bar that depletes from the top to the bottom?
