Description
combine hay with decaying and rotten food to produce compost (manure in game terms). should be able to accept and use any raw or cooked foods.

April 27th update:
-removed research requirement. compost barrel can now be made right from the start.
-lowered food ingredient amount from 100 to 20
-added 2nd recipe using 20 cooked foods
-added 100 hay requirement for each recipe
-raised manure output from 80 to 100
-updated some icons and screenshot pics

this mod does not work correctly. the settlers are taking ANY raw food to the composter, even if they're not selected for the receipt. and it would be nice when they would take only the rotten items which are mentioned in the pop-up notifications.

@OkagrimGaming I'm creating a total update of this mod with all new or updated recipes, new menus, etc. Want to publish the changes or easier for me just to publish a new version?

Uh, they keep throwing perfectly good food into the composter al the time... I dont see rotten food in the filter so...?

Just a little balance pointer.
10 raw food makes 2 cooked basic meals.
It would be a bit tamer if the secondary recipe required 4 cooked meals.

Yeah I have to agree, the filter doesn't work. I have everything unselected except raw poultry and insect meat and they keep trying to dump oil and fat in it.

The problem I'm having is I can't use "Insect Meat and Hay" exclusively. Even if I deselect every food type but insect meat, it will still choose fresh meat or meals and not use insect meat.
