More Automaton Inset Blocks - Large, Large Half, Small Grid 3x3x3 and Small Grid 1x1x1
- Automaton Sensor, Single Button, Vertical 3 Buttons, 4 Button Panel, LCD, Sound Block, Jukebox, Camera and Interior Wall

This mod adds 8 functional inset blocks in Automaton style with bonus Interior Wall blocks.

A total of 140 new blocks are added. There are 4 different Styles.

The Block cost are increased from vanilla functional ones by adding extra components from interior wall.

I published a blueprint with all the blocks for quick reference.


I had a request to split out individual styles since the size of the mod was around 600MB

Future Update Ideas:
  • Large Grid Half block versions with different base textures - Done
  • Large Grid Size block place-able on Small Grid 3x3 - Done
  • Small Grid Blocks - 1x1 for most. 4 Button and Jukebox larger - Done
  • Different Textures for functional and interior block - Done

Known Issues:
  • Jukebox button activation area close up - I have a fix for this coming soon. - Fixed
  • Vertical Button panel highlights not working - I will have a fix for this coming soon. - Fixed
  • Any existing Vanilla Inset Lights when this mod is added to an existing world with be rotated 180 degrees.. - Fixed


I was inspired by the inset light block from the Automaton update.
So I started on this mod just after Automaton update.

@Mazen IIXIS - I made an Enclosed Programmable block in my TSO - Enclosed Blocks .
The Basic idea of that mod was for blocks are made airtight with extra bits around the base block.
The cost of the blocks were increased with the extra bits. It has 2 styles: Clear and Tinted Glass.

I'm curious if an addition can be made. An inset programmable block. I'm not sure if it's included here or in a different mod pack. I couldn't find programmable block in this one.

Here's a block suggestion: a 2x1x1 large grid inset sensor with the sensor part in the middle. I'm currently making a 6x6 hangar space and I dont like how uneven are the sensors.

@Perp - someone reported a problem with new inset corner blocks that Keen added. This changed the group from cylinder group to truss block being the first block in that block variant group. My recent change Sept 29. I think that is the date removed my inset blocks to a separate group. I chose to do that leaving the interior wall group back to vanilla. Keen will be changing that group again in the Contact update coming soon.

Hey @TheSlaveOne, it looks like the most recent update to this mod broke the interior wall blockgroup (the one starting with the cylindrical column). Just wondering if this was an intentional or unintended change.

@TheSlaveOne. Great mod - thank you. Whilst building a base I realised there were two blocks I would really like to have. An inset shelf and an inset desk/console block. Any chance you could create them? Cheers
