Mod Update and Alert System

Description
This mod is optional on B41, and required on B42.

Utility mod used for news and updates to mods I authored.
Or any other mod utilizing my ChangeLog.txt format. More information below.

Information can be found in a small (collapsible) window found in the main-menu, and the escape-menu.
Further more, right-clicking the collapse button will hide the system for the rest of the session. (per Lua load)

If you're interested in utilizing this system to display change-logs all you have to do is create a text file named 'ChangeLog.txt' within your mod's common folder. This mod includes a working example. Note the footer and header must be within spaced square brackets, and the footer must have six hyphens. Also, uploading your mod to the workshop will automatically populate the Steam changelog with the last entry - if the mod is enabled on the main menu.

@Chuckleberry Finn Oh, I hadn’t noticed the right-click tooltip—good to know, thanks! My suggestion was more about having an option to keep it hidden across sessions—like a mod setting to hide and persist that state, so it doesn’t reappear unless intentionally restored. That way, it avoids hiding forever by mistake and provides an advanced way to let picky users like me control what's shown in the UI.

You can right click the arrow to hide it entirely (although this isn't persistent). It only (or should only) show up in menus not in-game.

Hi! Thank you for your time and effort in making mods like this. I have a quick piece of feedback:

Since I only have this mod installed as a dependency and don’t use it directly, the persistent changelog panel feels a bit intrusive—especially when no related mods have changed in months.

Personally, I prefer checking changelogs on the Workshop page only for mods I actively use. Having this panel always visible in-game doesn’t add value in my case. It would be great if there were an option to hide it completely and persistently (not just collapse).

I understand this is a matter of preference, but I believe it would help keep the UI cleaner for users like me. Thanks for considering it!

Were there any type of errors or warnings? Did you both confirm the server and players involved were up to date?

Thank you! :)

For those having issues, I don't mind putting in the work to fix issues, but I'd need more effort put in reporting the issues. Logs, errors, more details.

@Chuckleberry Finn, just tested the mod with 130 mods active on the latest patch(42.7), i dont have any issues or bugs, as per usual/expected.

Just wanted to give you more feedback, since 90% of the times, as you already know, majority of the issues are made by their users and not the opposite.

Keep the awesome work as always.

Cheers.
