Boolo Cap - A fairly ubiquitous mushroom, similar in many regards to the plump helmet. Unlike the plump helmet, it can neither be eaten raw nor cooked into meals, but can be brewed for Boolo Juice, an unremarkable alcoholic drink. Grows 20% faster than a Plump Helmet.

Malt Star - A rare cavern plant that can be brewed into the chilly Arkenstout, which reduces pain, swelling, and fever with its healing chill, and has a chance to impart an additional mild happy thought to any who drink it. Grows 166% slower than a plump helmet.

Starch Nut - A rare cavern fruit that can be brewed into the potent Blackout Stout, which has a chance to impart an additional, long-lasting happy thought at the price of knocking all but the most robust dwarves out for up to a day. Brew at your own peril! Grows 100% slower than a plump helmet.

Yeast Cone - A rare cavern comb that can be brewed into the robust Malt Rockbearer, which increases the size of any who drink it by 40% for a day! Also has a chance to impart an additional mild happy thought to any who drink it. Grows 166% slower than a plump helmet.

Planned Updates
  • Barley Bulbs, semi-rare cavern plants that brew mundane but high value beer.
  • Ebonuts, slow-growing tough plants that can be ground into high-value spice or milled into paper.
  • Apoca Blooms, fast-growing plants that can be milled into white dye.
  • Radipuffs, fast-growing plants that can be milled into green dye.

Oh, alright
Well, for everyone using this mod keep that in mind that the Blackout Stout causes a lot of cancellation notifications and disrupts dwarves' workday as they spend a lot of time in sickbay. I personally stick to the other drinks. They've got neat effects.

When you black out, you wake up in the medbay. This is intended.

With a lot of diagnosis job cancellations as they get out of medical beds before being diagnosed on their own sometimes.

Ohh, I think there's an unintended consequence with this mod. I was wondering why seemingly healthy dwarves kept winding up in the hospital, getting diagnosed and then released with no wounds shown.

It turns out that the Blackout Stout makes the dwarves unconscious (Obviously), but this is treated as a medical condition so they are constantly going in and out of the hospital.

Rock and Stone!

Does exactly what it says on the tin; the four new crops and the drinks brewed from them are a fun new addition whether you're a Deep Rock player or not! In addition to simply increasing drink variety, they each come with cool new effects which is something I really appreciate, and the plant sprites look excellent in any cavern layer!

Very well done! I use this mod in basically every load order— it's just a permanent fixture now. Thank you so much for sharing!
