Description
Working with 6.2

Adds a unit upgrade system similar to the Greenskin scrap system to the Grand Cathay factions. The upgrades cost Taiji, a new resource generated by maintaining yin-yang balance in provinces. In provinces where the imbalance is high Taiji will be lost each round. In addition Taiji can be spend to rush construction.

The upgrades are themed around Yin and Yang. Yin upgrades tend to be offensive while Yang upgrades are more defensive and both come with minor drawbacks. They are also rather strong and unique, so units can only receive a single upgrade.


Upgrade costs and effects are not final and feedback would be appreciated.

@Homia4ok I pushed an update to fix this. I tested it briefly and there should also be no issues with free upgrades anymore

@Dirty Dan Sorry for the late reply! Yes, you can open the upgrade panel, and even though a price for the upgrades is shown, in reality it's free to upgrade them. But it's only for the minor Cathay factions! All your other upgrade mods work well with minor factions though, this is the only one...

@Homia4ok can you elaborate on the free upgrades please? Are those the same updates as the main faction gets but with no costs attached? The missing panel container issue is easily fixable but the free upgrade stuff shouldn‘t happen at all

Dan, the mod is really cool and works well too! From what I've seen it works only with playable factions, and minor factions (Mixu's unlocker) don't have it set up (The panel with Taiji above isn't shown and there's free upgrades). Could you add it to all Cathay factions during the next update, if it's not a bother? Pretty please~

@xarlie skaven probably not since it would snowball too hard with ikkits workshop, eshin dealings and throt's fleshlab. But dark elves will be the next mod once I start modding this game again

@fdream it is not supposed to work with any modded units without respective submod. Only CA units are supported by default
