Alpha Props - Ship Parts

Description
[www.patreon.com]

Features

Adds 66 new space ship props for Vanilla Furniture Expanded - Props and Decorations. These are non-functional and for decorative purposes only. They can be used with Save Our Ship 2 or just placed in the colony to spice up vanilla space ships.

All these ship parts were previously in the Alpha Ships mod, which required SoS2. They are now independent of it and can be used anywhere.

And what's best, since it uses VE Props menu, the mod can add 99 new things to the game without cluttering your architect menus!

FAQ

Q: Can I add it mid-playthrough to an existing save? Can I remove the mod?
A: You can add it whenever. You can't remove mods from a save and expect it not no be messed up.

Q: Does this need Biotech DLC, Alpha Animals / Biomes / Save Our Ship 2, etc
A: No, this only needs VE - Props

Q: Does this work with Combat Extended?
A: This one should be 100% compatible.

Q: Can you rotate the props?
A: If you can, you can

Q: Reeee this is bloat! I like my things that add things to add less things to the thing!!!
A: Understandable. The props will hurt you even if I condensed them all in their own menu, inside their own button. They whisper at you, in the dark of the night. "Bloaaaat, bloaaaaaaat". They seek your soul, and find you lacking.

Q: These don't work with the blueprints mod anymore!
A: Use Izk's updated version, which fixes the bugs from the currently unsupported version: Get the forked blueprints mod here: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/workshop/filedetails/?id=3150588521

Nice! From all us ship decorators out there, I wish you all the best of luck.

Not yet. Several people are on it, and I'm keeping a close eye

Howdy Sarg,

I would guess you have done far more research into the matter than I have. Would it be possible to attach pieces to walls such as how lights work? Support beams and wings and so on, offset and hanging off the side using a 1x1 pivot area.

Or does that only work with 1x1 sized pieces and it isn't possible to have a much large texture use a smaller placement footprint?

Huh. Might just be my end. Wack.

Nope

Appears to be having compatability problems. Not sure what's causing them, but Alpha Props - Ship Parts is causing the game to simply crash.

Nope

Foundationscan be transparent, when ship parts are used?
Sarg Bjornson  [author] 11 Jul @ 11:09pm
Absolutely, and it can't be changed

Doesn't work well on gravships—each prop piece needs a full foundation underneath. This means props like the pirate-themed parts either get left behind or require awkward, ugly foundation structures to stay attached to the ship.
