Description
About the Mod
This mod adds the Imperial Gunnery School from Elspeth von Draken's campaign to the rest of the empire, in the form of an expanded technology tree.

Why a technology tree, and not the actual faction mechanic?
Because I'm pretty sure faction mechanics are hardcoded (edit: apparently not the case). Either that, or I'm just an idiot (edit: unfortunately confirmed). A technology tree works well enough for this purpose though (edit: it still does).

Features and non-features
The mod and its tech-tree gives all the unit/faction buffs, and unique items, that you get from the Imperial Gunnery School, at the cost of prestige+cash rather than Schematics. It's supposed to be fairly pricey for balancing reasons, but the technologies are all 1-turn researchs. There might be other balancing updates later on.

What is not in the mod is the Amethyst Armoury and any of its units, mostly because it doesn't really fit Karl Franz and it would be a pain to mod (and scuffed as hell in a technology tree format). It also obviously doesn't include any of Elspeth's other faction mechanics like the Gardens of Morr.

Compatibility
Mods that simply change the existing technologies in the empire tech tree will work fine with this mod, but mods that add more rows of technologies will have issues. This is because in vanilla there are 9 rows of technologies (left to right), and this mod starts at row 10. If any other mod takes up any of the rows beyond 9, the mod most likely will not work.

PSA: The "Enhanced Scope" ancillary doesn't display properly in the technology tree, but you will still get it

For non-franz factions the technologies have the wrong effects assigned in the junction table

Works fine playing as Karl. But on Markus or Gelt, the techs are all jumbled up.

@skoobeldoobel yeah i created a new franz campaign and the tech tree isn't their i don't have any mods installed either so its first in load order

@goofy ahh gooby I actually have no idea. Can't really think of any reason why it shouldn't work, though. The mod is technically just a tech tree that gives you unit buffs and a couple of ancillaries. There might be some checks put in place by CA to prevent you from gaining those ancillaries without the dlc, maybe?

I would be interested to hear if it works, if you decide to test it

Glad to hear it. I just confederated her as Franz so it would make sense for her to share the knowledge, especially that archaon declared war on kislev and empire 😀
