PYOs Tactical data link 3.6

Description
Update 20250404
Hey everyone, I’m happy to announce that the DataLink has been upgraded to 3.5!
I’ve reworked the whole button system, UI system, and UAV control system, and improved a lot of small details.
Even though it doesn’t look like much has changed overall, I think you’ll like it!
I’ve also added a UAV demo, so if you want to know more about the UAV, check it out here:
PYO's AUV-03 'Sentinel' Data-Linked UAV
Thanks!
This creation is an interactive mini-map system based on radio, free to use , free to share. Please don't leave down-vote without comment. I need feedback.

What's this?
Tactical Data link is a tool used to share the battlefield situation with friendly forces.
wiki page here [en.wikipedia.org]
Main features:
  • Sending own vehicle's position and receiving positions and types of allied vehicle.
  • Sending own vehicle's SOS status and receiving SOS statuses of allied vehicle.
  • Sending own vehicle's waypoints and receiving waypoints of allied vehicle.
  • Sending own vehicle's marked enemy vehicle coordinates or map markers and receiving them from allied vehicles.
  • Commanding allied UAVs based on waypoints, sending attack orders, and direct remote controlling.
  • Remote controlling allied vehicles.
  • Brand new features and more efficient code.(Compared with gen2)
  • Fully compatible with the previous generation.

How to play?
subscribe to it. Spawn it. Then read "How to?"
Include examples:
  • MSL: An example of guiding a terminal homing missile via data link
  • MINI: Recommended minimal solution for volume-sensitive users.
  • EXT.TGT: External Target Input. Provide an interface for users using other targeting systems to access the data link. Includes a GPS aiming system example.
  • SCOUT: Recommended solution for recon vehicles.
  • UAV.MST: UAV Master. Recommended solution for UAV command vehicles.
  • UAV.SLV: UAV Slave. Recommended solution for drones.
  • PRO.MAX: All features and a deluxe large monitor. (considering the size, it's not highly recommended).

Some details:
General operations:
  • Top-left collapsible side menu, page navigation, toggle SOS status reporting.
  • Touching the blank area: focus on the touch point. Prepare for marking.
  • ADD: Add one marker at the touch point.
  • DEL: Delete the selected marker. If none is selected, delete the oldest marker.
Page 1 JTAC Joint Targeting
  • Touching the blank area: focus on the touch point and display the touch point coordinates.
  • DEL:Only can delete your own marker.
  • OPT: open icon guidebook, set the type of target to be marked.
  • Interactive icons: touch to select a red target.
  • Data output: Coordinates xyz of the currently selected target: Num27, Num28, Num29
You won't able to add or delete JTAC markers when using 'Tracking Radar Override JTAC' or 'External Target Input Override JTAC1'.
And it is not recommended to use both of these two features.
Page 2 WAYP Waypoints
  • ADD & DEL: Only able to access your own waypoints.
  • OPT1 - ORDER: Move waypoint forward or backward.
  • OPT2 - ALT: Adjust the altitude of the waypoint.
  • Interactive icons: Touch to select one of your waypoints.
  • Data output: Coordinates xyz of waypoint 1: Num30, Num31, Num32. Output waypoint radius (only for UAV): Num26.
Page 3 UAV Drone Command

  • OPT3 - RAD: Set the radius of the waypoints to be added.
  • OPT4 - LDN=land at anywhere, AL=Landing on Carrier.
  • OPT5 - ATK=Weapon Trigger, CAM=Camera.
  • Interactive icons: None.
Page 4 RC Remote Control
  • ADD: No function.
  • DEL: No function.
  • OPT1 - CUR: Select the Vehicle to control. All controllable vehicles that can be contacted will be listed.

Known Issue
  1. FIXED small chance of causing an error when locking onto a target that is about to expire. (Reason undetermined)

Thank you!

That's almost all. If you have any suggestions or found any bugs, tell me please.

Neat system, would there be a way to make 'groups' of vehicle, so that i can select targets on all vehicle at once, would be nice if you got multiple anti-air or stuff

You should look for a lua script node start with '--datalink3dataRecieving' and the 1st number output is the 'ID'

I want to get an ID and enter it for the HMD IFF, for this I need to get number output

ID is random and not synced when multiplayer game. if you want to know your ID, check the upper left corner of the screen.

how can I get my ID?

Okay, thanks for the answer! Do you know the game Carrier Command 2 by Geometa? The game features some really impressive drones, and the carrier systems are quite advanced. Could you build something similar to CC2 that integrates with your data link?

to Pierro_M ,
Yes, there's 'circle radius' setting function. But currently, my fixed-wing project has been indefinitely postponed.
I might work on it after my next creation is released.

Is there a fixed wing drone planned? because i saw a setting (circle radius) on the datalink screen...
