Description
This mod has been replaced by a superior version with custom livery and model in the Royal Navy mod: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3491248180

The Royal Navy's Lynx helicopter, created from a Seasprite but with a very different set of loadouts and a unique missile the Sea Skua lightweight anti-ship missile and Sting Ray torpedoes. Features RN specific sonobouys, the Dowty Mini-Jezebel.

Available loadouts:
ASW: 2 Sting Ray torpedoes and sonobuoys
Anti Ship: 2 Sea Skuas plus the sonobouys
Strike: 1 Sting Ray torpedo and one Sea Skua and sonobuoys
Strike Heavy: 1 Sting Ray and two Sea Skuas and sonobuoys
Anti Ship Heavy: 4 Sea Skuas no sonobuoys (now fixed visually!)

New! I have added the Wildcat HMA2 so you can fly around in what the Lynx has evolved into with fancy missiles and loadouts:
ASW: 2 sting rays and nothing else, no idea who thought that was a good idea in the MoD but ok
AntiShip: 4 brand new Sea Venom anti ship missiles
Strike: 20 Martlet LLM's which aren't quite right visually as they should be packed in 4 lots of 5 rather than the 5 lots of 4 I've used. Nevertheless enjoy missile spam at small ships, tanks, ground targets, helicopters, seagulls etc.

Known issues:
The livery is wrong FIXED thanks to Gold Leader!

for this mod, can you get rid of the extraneous aircraft names in the aircraft_names.ini file, it overwrites the base game callsigns for all other units

You're welcome Brother Munro. Typos are modders' worse enemies, and it's almost impossible to spot them without outside help.

Nice job Brother Munro:steamthumbsup:. I've noticed a few things in the rn_lynx.ini that might help you solve your problem with the AntiShipHeavy loadout.

1/ In the [WeaponSystem1] section, there's a typo in the following line (a dot before the 1st zero):
Station6=0.0178,-.0.0138,-0.020 //Outboard Right Station

2/ I also noticed there is no station4 in the [WeaponSystem1] section, while a Station4 is mentioned in:
[WeaponSystem1AntiShipHeavy]
Station1=rn_seaskua
Station2=rn_seaskua
Station4=rn_seaskua
Station5=rn_seaskua

So I suggest your renumber the stations from 1 to 5.

3/To hide the ASQ-81 mesh suggest you type SubModelsToHide=ASQ-81 in the[WeaponSystem1AntiShipHeavy] section:

like this:

[WeaponSystem1AntiShipHeavy]
SubModelsToHide=ASQ-81
Station1=rn_seaskua
Station2=rn_seaskua
Station4=rn_seaskua
Station5=rn_seaskua

Of course you'll have to modify the other loadouts to be in accordance with the modified [WeaponSystem1] section.

Yes but this involves editing the textures which I do not know how to do (yet)
