Description
B42 COMPATIBLE
Still compatible with B41
Enhance your survival experience with Efficiency! Now with sandbox options! This mod introduces a powerful new skill: Efficiency. It's designed to make your character faster and more effective at completing timed actions, adding more depth and realism to your grinding gameplay.



With this mod, your character can improve their work speed based on their Efficiency levels. Characters with higher Efficiency levels can drastically reduce the time it takes to perform essential tasks. You should also try the new trait "Efficient" (which boosts your speed) and (theoretically) avoid the trait "Inefficient" (which slows you down).


Efficient
-6 For some reason, you're faster than the rest. (+3 Efficiency)


Inefficient
+6 You're slow and lazy. (Starts two levels below normal)

Additionally, a new profession, Youth Worker, has been added. This profession gives your character a unique boost to Efficiency and various crafting skills, making them a master of multitasking!


Youth Worker
You've worked your whole life and are especially fast at completing tasks. (+3 Efficiency, +1 Carpentry, +1 Electronics, +1 Mechanics, +1 Tailoring)

Whether you want to speed up mundane tasks or push your character to become the ultimate survivor, this mod lets you build a more efficient, faster, and stronger survivor!

Warning: It's hard to level it up.

Time = Default Time * Time Modifier
Example: Time = 10 sec * 1.8 | So Time = 18 sec
(In seconds for easy understanding, it's just an example)

This works the same as vanilla, so you will get used to it quickly

XP Gain system
You gain XP by completing Timed Actions. For now, the amount of XP gained is the same regardless of the total time taken. I designed it this way because, in many cases, the maximum time required doesn’t reflect the complexity of the task but rather the character’s condition. For example, if your character is burnt, it will take much longer to complete an action. It wouldn’t make sense to reward more XP just because the character is in poor condition.

does the global xp multiplier affect this mod? if I set it to 2x (for example) will this mod's skill be gaining xp at 2x? or do I have to use its own xp multiplier in the sandbox settings?

@Csupi No problem at all, bro. To be honest, I’ve been pretty busy with work lately, and I don’t really play on PC or do much programming like I used to. So your fix is a huge help for me and for the community.

When I reach level 8 above, I cannot fully harvest eggs and fully clean the hutch. Is there a fix for this?

My mistake. I read through the change notes to see if it's already been done before making my suggestion. That update wasn't posted there, which lead to my post.

(For everyone) As for build 42, I haven’t updated the mod overall because of this: I only use b41 since I'm like only interested in the mp aspect of the game, and switching between versions and replacing files just to test and update the mod for both builds was a hassle. That said, I hadn't really been motivated to keep updating the mod, until now. I'm currently working on an update aimed at fixing compatibility with build 42 in general.

In b41, it has almost always been a passive skill. It wasn't in its very first version simply because at the time, I didn't yet know how to manage the "initial XP" system. I haven't updated the descriptive GIFs since then, but as mentioned, it's been in the passive section for quite a while now.

Interesting mod. I will definitely try this out.

I looked at the speed comparisons in the description. If you take feedback into consideration, it would make more sense to move Efficiency to the Passive section in the skills tab.
