Alexiad: Komnenos' Glorious Finale (CN version)

Description
This is a Simplified Chinese MOD. As my native language is not English and I am usually quite busy, I currently do not have plans to provide an English translation. I apologize for any inconvenience caused.
Sincere gratitude to Nolexios for the kind assistance in translating into English. The link is as follows: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3385411176

A heartfelt thank you to The IMPerator for creating such a detailed and thoughtful showcase video for the mod:

The video not only highlights many of the mod’s unique features, but also provides honest and constructive feedback, which is greatly appreciated. I’ll be working to gradually address some of the points mentioned in future updates. Thank you again for your time, effort, and support!
|————————————————————————————————————————————————|
After the fall of Constantinople in 1204 during the Fourth Crusade, Trebizond rapidly became the political and cultural center of one of the three main remnants of the disintegrating Roman Empire. Komnenian Dynasty, the grandsons of its tragic last ruler, Andronikos Komnenos — Alexios Komnenos and his brother David Komnenos, marched westward along the southern coast of the Black Sea from Pontus with the help of Queen Tamar of Georgia, aiming to compete with rivals in Nicaea and Epirus. However, the successive invasions by Nicaean and Seljuk armies completely crushed their previous efforts. Although several kings attempted to expand their territories afterwards, the weakness of their national power compared to their neighbors had long foreseen the failure of these military actions. Trebizond was fortunate, surviving the turmoil and warfare in the Near East for centuries under the natural barrier of the Pontic Mountains, and even becoming an important port for Black Sea trade and the northern Silk Road thanks to its mild climate, geographical advantages, and relatively stable social environment. But Trebizond was also unfortunate; surrounded by powerful neighbors, even mere survival required many sacrifices. This pitiable small country was forced to sign trade agreements with Venice and Genoa, and was successively subjugated to Georgia, the Seljuk Empire, and the Mongol Empire. In 1444, to the east, the once mighty Kingdom of Georgia, closely connected with Trebizond, was teetering; to the south, the Aq Qoyunlu, maintaining a long-standing marital bond with Trebizond, firmly controlled the area around Diyarbakir, and the youthful and ambitious Prince YUzun Hasan had a vision far beyond the ordinary; to the west, the successor of the Laskarid dynasty, the Palaiologos dynasty, huddled in the broken Constantinople, barely maintaining the inheritance of the empire, while the Ottoman Empire established by the Turks grew increasingly stronger. Despite the old sultan Murad II being aged and content with the status quo, his successor was entirely different. The devout and ruthless Muhammad II was eager to devour all enemies. If Trebizond, weak and vulnerable, were to encounter a steadfast and keen ruler, amassing strength and rising at the right time, perhaps a new era of great achievements could be possible. But Ioannes IV Komnenos still hadn't realized the approaching danger. This so-called 'empire' established by the remnants of Andronikos was inevitably heading toward its final moments.

Update Notes - December 20, 2024
1. Adjustment to Trebizond Orange Missions Rewards
o All orange missions in Trebizond's mission tree now feature two reward tiers.  Achieving Reward Tier I grants Reward Modifier I, which will neutralize the corresponding debuff upon forming the Eastern Roman Empire. Achieving Reward Tier II grants a doubled Reward Modifier II, but players can only obtain up to three Tier II rewards.
o This limitation aims to prevent players from delaying their transformation into the Eastern Roman Empire for optimal rewards, ensuring a smoother and more enjoyable gameplay experience.
2. Changes to Trebizond Mission Bonuses
o Permanent modifiers in the later part of Trebizond's mission tree have been adjusted to temporary modifiers.
o However, if players choose the Pontus route, these temporary modifiers can still be converted into permanent rewards.
o This change follows the same reasoning as above: to maintain a balanced and engaging experience without slowing progression.
3. Rework of Debuffs and Crises after Forming the Eastern Roman Empire
o After forming the Eastern Roman Empire: Trade Privileges, Pronoia Privileges, and Constantinople Province Modifiers remain unchanged. Other disaster effects (such as naval crises, army quality issues, military organization problems, administrative crises, and currency crises) will be reworked into warnings of potential disaster risks.
o A new series of crisis resolution decisions will be introduced, allowing players to address these potential risks. If players complete the decisions within 50 years, they can avoid the corresponding debuffs entirely.
4. New Interaction Button for the Eastern Roman Empire's Special Government Reforms
o Three unique interaction buttons have been added to government reforms of Eastern Roman Empire, providing new strategic options. Enjoy the new update and dive into the revamped Trebizond and Eastern Roman Empire gameplay experience!

VictorWJ 25 Jul @ 7:03am
