Description
DE_ROBINSON

Features:
- 20 spawnpoints for each team
- Small open island map containing a lot of vegetation, rocks for cover and several buildings

Story: Poor Robinson survived on the island for so long (about as long as it took Counter Strike to evolve from version 1.6 to Source 2) until the oceans drained and the island was attacked by terrorists.

The only map not based on a real location

Known bugs:
- Bots can get stuck on ladders or act stupid
- Shading errors may occur in random places. In these places players, props and geometry do not cast cascaded shadows, but only baked ones, also player's hands have bad shading. I suspect incorrect vis clusters calculations, but since I have no control over generated vis clusters, I don't know if I made a mistake or if I hit some limitation of the Source engine 2. See screenshot of these errors
- The oceans have been drained (for more on the reason, see my WIP https://gamebanana.com/wips/84404 , see the paragraph "January 2024, The Story about a drained ocean")

To NakedAgent: I'm also not happy that I had to "drain the oceans", which is what I write about in my WIP (link in the description, paragraph Known bugs). This turned the island into an oasis in the middle of the desert, causing a visible pattern of texture repetition :(

Haha, this looks fantastic! I would either put some water between the islands or work on the sand more because right now you can see the repeating pattern and that makes it look cheap. Other than that it's great. At first I thought we would be able to walk all around the area which would make for a great sniper map.
