Body Shape & Muscle Sliders Overhaul

Description
Do you wish the base game let you customize your characters' physique more? Are you tired of letting the muscularity be controlled just by prowess? Want some new sliders to make your characters stands out?
Then this is the mod for you!

What this mod does:
1. Separates the Body Shape and Muscularity of the 'bs_body_shape' gene into two separate categories. I still keep the body shape categories, like Half and Full, in the original gene for compatibilities, but they are defunct. Use the new Body Shapes slider!
2. Reduced Female Neck Sizes down from 40% to 10% scaling with muscularity, so it should help with character portraits.

Comprehensive Guide for CK3 Muscle and Body Shapes:
ALL character models you see in the game use Clothed musculature to make them fit into the clothings. Unclothed (also named _average' in the file) character model is only unlocked through certain things like 'is_naked' flag, which is temporarily called by events or permanently selected when you use Better Barbershop and click the naked/undress button.

How does the is_naked flag trigger bypass the clothed body musculature?
The real cause is the 'bust_clothed' and 'bust_clothed_light' , with the bust_clothed being forced onto all characters not having the is_naked flag. Other bust genes won't lock the characters to be clothed, but even if you make a character DNA with other bust genes, your character will still spawn clothed because they don't have is_naked flag.

I know, it's a real rabbit hole. I met modders who think that the _average unclothed body gene isn't used at all when in fact it was hidden behind a layers of anti-nsfw portrait overrides, only occasionally triggers when you have the nudity setting toggled on and have certain nude events.

Below is a demonstration of what Clothed and Unclothed look like using the same model with max musculature. Notice the blue outline on the left character - this is the shadow of the Unclothed character's physique:



Next, we have Body Shapes , which is demonstrated below with max musculature for all to show the difference.
The base game splits each type into Half (25%) or Full (49.5%) versions with set percentages that cannot be altered. My new gene simply allows you to alter this percentage beyond exactly 25% or 49.5% to 0%-49.9%
Why not go to 100%? Going past 50% results in distortion for some body shapes.



Questions
Is this save-game compatible?
- No, since it will add a new slider.
Is this Better Ruler Designer/Barbershop compatible?
- Yes, I made it with Agami's mods in mind.
I have some clippings with the body shapes! T_T
- The base game designed it so a clothed body shape muscularity to reduce clippings. Depending on which clothes you use, it will have some issues with the poses and animations.
Is this [insert mod] compatible?
- It should theoretically fit mods that don't edit the base muscle gene and ethnicities. Meaning EPE, AGoT, EK2, etc. will need a compatch for characters to spawn with this gene.
Is this CBO compatible?
- No, Mange and Csirke already have sliders that do similar things to mine. Consider this a lighter version of CBO.
Would you consider making the reduced female neck size it's own mod?
- No.
My game start with errors about missing genes?
- That will have to be for now. Updating existing DNAs with this gene takes works, and I don't have the time now. It won't hurt your experience too much since new characters will spawn with the genes anyway.

I highly recommend Agami's Barbershop and Ruler Designer mods to see the differences.
I will eventually tweak clothings just as CBO did to make the muscularity scales better with them, but that can be 1 to 4 months or even a year from now.

UPDATE 1/6/2025: Added muscle textures from CBO, which is slightly better than base game's. Help you notice the physique more!

@EnumaEllis oh goodness... EPE has a 01_genes_morph.txt file, and YAB has a 01_genes_morph.txt file too, so there a patch for them https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2923667262 , but I don't think theirs a compatability patch?

Muscularity are controlled by stats. The actual muscularity gene is the default.
So let's say your muscularity base is 140, so your character starts at base 140 if they have 0 prowess, and get more muscular from there.
This is base game behavior, I don't edit this.

Body shape is now separate, no longer constrained. You still need to select a body type, like triangle/pear.

So, muscularity and body shape become purely controlled by inheritable gnes, rather than traits or stat poins? (body shape to some extent was controlled by gneetics?), sorry for the naive questions.

And yes, it can be added mid-game, but you will need to wait for characters to spawn with the gene. Just not removed mid-game or it will reset every DNAs.

Try this mod out yourself, see IF you actually want more controllable body shapes first. Otherwise, don't use it.

I made this mod as a venue to explain to people some important facts about how CK3 handles DNA mostly, and just giving them more control to something I feel should be separate instead of being grouped up with muscle sizes.
No modders attempted it, for some reason. They usually make an entire new model, like CBO.

Since it adds a new gene, don't just turn it off and continue a save, as it goes for all other mods adding new genes.

Read under 'What this mod does' section first if you haven't.
Essentially, vanilla base game a muscle gene that also have the body shape gene, and the body shape gene is in set amount of 25% or 49.99...%. I separate the body shape gene as its own thing, and keeping the muscle gene so that the game still function. So you can edit it from 0% to 49.999...%.
Why? Because going to 50% and above is when distortions happens. That's all base game assets, not mine, so that's what they set up.

You can edit this gene in Character Creation. With this mod enabled, characters will spawn with this new gene. I also edited the preset characters, characters like Jarl Haesteinn, to have this gene at game start as well from request.
However, I am not playing CK3 so all preset characters at game start, usually landed or with titles, that are added past the latest update will not have the new genes.

@EnumaEllis does this allow you to make a character more musclar than the game normally allows, or this can already achieved vanilla or by Agami's Barbershop?
