True Gothic Skies for DX11

Description
🌓 True Gothic Skies DX11

"Darkness is rising. Even the sky must look worthy."

🌥️ I’ve never really liked the original sky in Gothic 1. It always felt flat, washed out, and lacking atmosphere.
That’s why I decided to change it — to bring in the feeling of Gothic 2’s sky: deeper, more alive, more immersive. ☁️✨

True Gothic Skies DX11 is a fully reimagined sky for Gothic 1, designed specifically for the DirectX 11 renderer.
The new cloud textures offer more depth, rich lighting, and a sense of volume that gives the sky a truly dynamic, atmospheric look. 🌌

This isn’t just a texture swap — it’s a careful attempt to recreate the mood and immersion of Gothic 2 while staying true to the world of Gothic 1.
If you’ve ever felt like the sky in the Colony was just... missing something — now it finally breathes. 🌫️

✨ Features:
Fully new high-quality sky textures

Enhanced depth, light, and volume

Inspired by Gothic 2’s iconic atmosphere

Made for DirectX 11 (D3D11 Renderer)

Compatible with most visual enhancement mods

If you enjoy a more cinematic, moody, and immersive Gothic experience — this mod is for you. 🌙

🛠️ Tip: For the mod to work 100% correctly, make sure to move it to the top of your launcher’s load order.
This will give it the highest priority and ensure everything runs smoothly.

Thanks, I changed the texture pack to another one and it started working 😉. Overall, this cloud mod looks amazing, so a big plus 👍. Have you considered creating a mod that adds new side quests?

Just to clarify — this mod can’t cause crashes, because it’s literally just a cloud texture. It doesn’t modify scripts, engine behavior, or anything critical — only visual sky textures.

As for the fact that you can’t disable it:
That’s most likely because you’re also using my other mod, GI Texture vegetation mod by ARTstuff. In that mod, I’ve included True Gothic Skies as a required dependency, so the launcher will always ask for it to be active — that’s by design. It ensures the clouds match the overall visual style of the vegetation.

So don’t worry — nothing is broken or dangerous here 😊
