Denied Space Initiative

Description
The Denied Space Initiative is a new military program aimed at finding better ways to defend against pirate raids. This mod adds the following ships to the shipyard in DeVries:

1. Strike Destroyer Yamato
------------------------------------

This ship is based on the Taranis with better armor, shields and more turrets. It also has 3 secondary engines in addition to its main engines.

Technical specs:

Speed: 84 m/s
Drone bay: 20 units
Armor: 4200k
Force fields: 26 mk3
Shields: 6 mk3
Small turrets: 68 Defense lasers
Medium turrets: 26 Attack lasers
Large turrets: 4 Battle lasers

2. Cargo Hercules-T / Miner Hercules-M
-----------------------------------------------------

These ships are based on the Scaldis. They are identical, except for their role, have better component shields, 2 secondary engines and more turrets.

Technical specs:

Universal cargo hold
Speed: 72 m/s
Drone bay: 150 units (same as Scaldis)
Armor: 2100k (same as Scaldis)
Force fields: 13 mk3
Shields: 2 mk3 (same as Scaldis)
Small turrets: 39 Defense lasers
Medium turrets: 6 Attack lasers
Large turrets: 3 Mining lasers (same as Scaldis)

The new laser weapons are extremely effective against fighters and drones allowing the ships to perform on their own against this type of attackers. Basically, all fighter and carrier ships become obsolete in their current roles. The Yamato also performs well against other capital ships but it's not going to win a war unattended and on its own.

If you uninstall this mod make sure you don't use a save where you are docked at one of these ships. Also, I recommend to use the mod together with Capital Ship Bridge, as the current dock positions won't make much sense without it.

I have 55 mods.

You can check it out for yourself. Disable all mod. Leave only this one. Start the game, start a new start. If the ships are displayed, then you have a problem with the mods.

Mod works on version 4.30. !!!! You can build ships at the Devriz shipyard.

would be nice to have a salvage ship that could recover parts like generators reactors etc although if the ship had blown up those might not work any more anyway, however there is a mod for salvaging wrecks on nexus mods, called explore and salvage. it has an mk1 and mk2 salvage laser and adds salvage drones to the equipment merchant that you can buy, then your Albion
Skunk becomes a salvager by using drones or salvage laser, its like having a bunch of mining drones on your Albion Skunk. and it doesnt take up any of the 8 drone slots
They fly out automaticly unless you disable auto launch, when you disable auto launch they also return to your ship, I had to do that a couple times to protect the drones or they get shot up, they cost a little over 1 mil each.

I don't know if that kind of ship can be added. Only if the scripts allow for the debris to be removed on demand (when the ship is done with it). I think there is a mod that does something similar already on Steam. In any case, I don't plan on adding anything else right now, but you can ask the modders on the Egosoft forums. Some of them do mods on request.
