Tiered JumpDrives

Description
This mods adds four improved Jump Drives(Large and Small Grid) and one new component to build them.
Each level costs more, charges faster and has doubled stats plus a little extra.

Jumpdrive (Small grid)
  • Jump charge: 150KWh
  • Max Required Power Input: 1.4MW
  • Jump distance: 50km
  • Max mass: 60 000
  • Charge efficiency: 80%
Jumpdrive Mk1(Large/Small)
  • Jump charge: 6MWh / 300KWh
  • Max Required Power Input: 50MW / 2.92MW
  • Jump distance: 4100km / 110km
  • Max mass: 3 000 000 / 130 000
  • Charge efficiency: 85%

Jumpdrive Mk2(Large/Small)
  • Jump Charge: 12MWh / 600 KWh
  • Max Required Power Input: 105MW / 5.92MW
  • Jump distance: 8200km / 220km
  • Max mass: 6 500 000 / 280 000
  • Charge efficiency: 90%

Jumpdrive Mk3(Large/Small)
  • Jump Charge: 24MWh / 1.2MWh
  • Max Required Power Input: 230MW / 11.98MW
  • Jump distance: 16 800km / 450km
  • Max mass: 14 000 000 / 600 000
  • Charge efficiency: 95%

Jumpdrive Mk4(Large/Small)
  • Jump Charge: 48MWh / 2.4MWh
  • Max Required Power Input: 480MW / 24MW
  • Jump distance: 35 000km / 900km
  • Max mass: 30 000 000 / 1 300 000
  • Charge efficiency: 100%

Ultraconductor Component
  • Required resources:
    • Iron 15kg
    • Gold 3kg
    • Platinum 0.5kg
  • Production time: 25s

Small jump drive model is rescaled Keen Software House jumpdrive model.

same here, been using them alot and without issue, minus the charge times being way over 5 minutes XD

In the event anyone in 2020 is still wondering, yes this works and yes it works great! I haven't run into any issues thus far!

As a side note, it didn't matter if the gravgen was on or off. But when I removed it entirely, or moved it one block aside, everything worked as normal.

A gravity generator was sitting right smack in the middle of the center-line of the ship's mass, and it turns out it wasn't just these jump drives that were affected. So it's something Keen has to look into fixing, it relates to some recent patch changes.

Attempting to blind jump with these results only in an error message complaining about a would-be obstacle and truncation of jump distance. It doesn't matter what distance I set or where I am pointing the ship, except into gravity fields where it gives the ordinary message about that.
