Xenonauts Total Conversation Mod with X:CE Support

X-Division is a Total Overhaul Mod for Xenonauts. This Mod got more then 3 year development and now it's 1.0. The point is creating a X-Com atmosphere from this great game, but we overwhelmed it.

You can think this mod as the Long War mod for Fraxis X-Com. I assume you that, this is what you are looking for if you want a real X-Com Experience, much more then other games or mods. You will feel the real invasion!

Some info about what you should expect from this huge mod:

  • Much longer game play with 4 different phases with totally new enemies, weapons, ufos, anything you imagine...
  • Huge arsenal of weapons, armors, vehicles, airplanes...
  • Aggresive and tactical AI, recreated specially for new alien invasion, one of the best at it's genre.
  • New versions of vanilla enemies and totally new ones including big deadly melee creatures and xenomorphs.
  • Many different Ufo types with different weapons, alien crews and missions..
  • More then 1000 (yeah with "3" zeros) researches and manufactures with their own xenopedia entries..
  • Remade game UI from store to manufacture menus to support huge content of the mod.
  • Detailed art for all images created specially for this mod or taken from internet as their best and fitting to default art style of the game.
  • Addition to the default game aspects, totally new things created with the Xenonauts Comminity Edition.

DOWNLOAD

Sadly the mod is 6.6 GB as compressed and no way to put here. For this reason we are using Xenonauts Forum Data Base with a direct download and MEGA as the populer and easiest way to shared this kind of big files. For download please go to our forum topic:

(We don't use any mod websites because we wait for our 1.0 release with most of our ideas and tests done.)

Please follow all the install steps and carefull about mod loading order. Now we got an Install video too.

Use PeaZip to unrar if you got any problems.

You don't need to open an account, the MEGA download link is just at download page.

Do not forget to choose Xenonauts Community Edition from betas.

We don't share the download directly, because if you want to use this mod, you need to check the mod thread for all mod content, aspects and install info. It's a huge mod and people can have some problems at install and mod loading order. It's simple when you read it, but without it, you will have problems.

If you have any problems about the mod, please contact us via forum or here, but we prefer our forum topic.

This mod is %99.42 stable. If you got any weird problems like aliens without guns, strange visual errors, game crashes, they should be about wrong install or mod loader issues. Be sure that you got X:CE, X-Division and X-Division Patch is installed and then come to our topic with your save game and we will help you.

We are working like a dev team about this mod and open for all questions and reports, just do that at mod thread rather then here or else where because it's really hard to follow at every possible place.

We need any people who wants to help as at writing Xpedia entries, stories or research descriptions. We got some people helping already after the mod release but still if you want time to write some words, join our forum and pm to "Charon".

i forgot exactly how i did it but i had to file transfer xdivision files installed on my pc to the steam deck with a file sharing system. i think the first go around i just extracted all the zips into a separate folder in steam desktop mode and then copied and pasted the patches to those files, then copy and paste those files from the separate folder and into the xenonauts directory and hit yes on all "replace this file?" prompts i got.

Have anyone gotten X Division to work on the steamdeck?

I have extracted the .rar files and ran the installer as a "non-steam game" but it just hangs on the spinning steam logo forever.

So that kinda screwed up the game, so just uninstalled and deleted everything else. Installed the steam CEB, install X, and now I think its good because i also see the missing equipment tabs now. However there is still the issue of the F-17 has 2 missile slots, yet 1 is empty and whenever I click it, game seems to crash, any thoughts why?

I used the download CEB and put files into game folder method rather then steam beta branch method. I tried fiddling with the mod order of some of the mods and it seemed to have fixed a couple issues. Still missing the equipment tab for medkits/shield/etc stuff in it. Would it be safe to just install the CEB using beta branch or will I need to basically just clean slate it and re-do the install?

Alrighty, seems some issues might indeed exist, along with missing equipment that my soldiers can grab but I can't give, there is also a few cases of game shutting down, 1 of them being trying to equip planes with new gear. Anyone know where I can go to get the exact extra stuff I need for the mod to work? I have the 3 part install, but now not sure if other stuff back then got updated while the mod wasn't.

Ok, weird, finally decided to get back into it, and reinstalled everything (and followed the steps, also because new pc), but it seems as though I am missing some equipment tabs. I don't have the tab that shows stuff like medkits or shields.

Ah, so it's a situation of basically reaching it just before the actual terror site is up, gotcha. Curious if the amount gained would be more then a downed terror ship though. Still only able to make 1 special fighter per terror, or does a landed one let you make 2?
Kinda thinking about getting into the game again, didn't actually beat it, but would say reached towards the end of stage 3. Forget the reason why, but might've been a save file issue.

If you target the ship mid Air and reach it after landing in the Terror Site its basically Intercepting a landed carrier ... if it hasn't landed it's dead dropship ;)
