A Blacksmith in Winterhold

A Few More Features in Winterhold

Description
Adds a blacksmith called Fenlok to the city of Winterhold. He lives in a small ice cave down the path between Birna's Oddments and the Jarl's Longhouse. You can visit at any time to use his smithing equipment, consisting of a smelter, forge, grindstone, workbench and tanning rack.

Fenlok is a man of few words, but will trade with you if you see him in his cave. He gets up every day at 5:30am and does stuff around the cave until 9pm, when he goes to The Frozen Hearth for a few hours before bed.

He is protected, meaning you can kill him but he shouldn't ever be eaten by a dragon on the way to the inn. He is a Nord and wears a 50% frost resistance amulet, so he is almost completely resistant to frost magic (Frostbite doesn't seem to have any effect but Icy Spear can still hurt him sometimes). The story of the day he acquired the amulet is recorded in his journal.

Important note for Hearthfire users:
The door to Fenlok's Cave is in the same place as a stone quarry added by Hearthfire. This can be solved with an additional mod I have made, A Blacksmith in Winterhold - Hearthfire Compatibility. Alternatively, if you don't want to load an additional mod, you could open the console, click on the stone quarry, and type 'disable' then press enter.

I love this mod for Winterhold, it has so much potential for a dungeon too, it leaves me wanting more.

sad day, sigh.

Currently it seems unlikely, as I no longer play Skyrim.

Will you make a quest out of it?

When will the ice dungeon be finished?

Great job! Well thought out and executed. I have hearthfire and I chose to disable the stone quarry/mine and have no issues with the mod so far. Only one con, to me, is the lighting inside is very dim, could use some overhead light.

I've got to say I'm really looking foward to seeing what Fenlock has found in the cave, having had this mod for quite a while its been great to see his excavations steadily increase and the new diary entries, really been brilliant for the immersion :-)

Then if you would like, I would be seriously honored to help out. I'm sending a friend request now.

As in, on the "created by" thing in the workshop, and credited in the description.
