The movements of the ragdoll
Hello i am french and i very sorry for bad english

I just want to understand things (This is not a reproach)

1) The direct movements, let me explain
I take as an example the foot of the ragdoll
When I make a rotation movement everything is fine I see the live rotation of the foot
On the other hand, for axis type displacements (Z, X, Y) the movement of the foot is not direct
I have to release the displacement (tool) so that the foot of the ragdoll puts it in position only <<bip_hip>> is moving directly

2) The possibility of blocking a specific bone, for example the neck
On some bones it has interesting options to block the position and the rotation

Is it possible to have an additional option that allows to freeze and unfreeze a specific bone

I know he has an option like this but it's for all ragdoll bones

i am unsure what you mean exactly with the first thing, you mean when you move foot with IK rig on, or something else?

an option to freeze/unfreeze physics on bones actually sounds interesting and might have some uses, i guess. i'll probably note it down for the next time if i get to do some more stuff for the tool.

I mean when i select the ragdoll (bip_hip) for the move it follows the movement of the cursor/window center

But when I select for example the foot

the foot does not follow directly in relation to the movement of the (slider / center of the slot) the tool is in motion but not the foot it is when I release the tool that the foot is put in place (the old version I did)

Edit : I just understood the problem, the problem depends on the ragdoll in question (character)

so, when you reposition a foot, it stay where it was? generally only ragdoll stretch tool helps with moving bones of ragdolls away from their locations, otherwise they stay locked to their parent bones, so you only can rotate them.

for the first character all is OK

and for the splatoon character (that I mostly use)

for some unknown reason doesn't do like the first one

probably the splatoon guy might not have IK chains built for him, tutorial video on workshop page does happen to go through how to do those.

shrug. were you using exact same models, or the ones that were with bone names that were allowing ragdoll mover to automatically set up the IKs?

I use the same model

and indeed when I use the IK tool it no longer has this problem

it's just a bit of a hassle to do it manually after each load (of the map and/or the model)

as far as i can tell it always worked like that, as generally it freezes whole ragdoll whenever you move it, and only unfreezes the bones that were unfrozen when you started moving it, don't think i did put any changes to the way that stuff worked

don't worry i'm not taking offense or anything, just stating what i saw from when i was working on the thing. just in case, previous version, was it the one with bone list, or the one before that?

In summary the one that does not have the list of bones (the old version)

I had no problem with IK of the members (Foot, hands) as if it was done all by itself (with the splatoon characters)

So with the update with the list of bones (which is great by the way) I have to do it manually (IK tool) to avoid the problem with the video of the comment (#4)
