what do you define as "work properly". does it not position gizmos correctly? stuff doesn't move as you expect it to?

i guess if that is what i think is is. when i position the arms/legs in a way it wont let me pose the hands/feet and would even prevent me from reposing the arms until i give up and restart

would you happen to have IKs turned on? when you have those turned on, at most you'd need to move the hands/feet of a ragdoll, moving limb bones inbetween body and hands/feet generally would mess things up unless you like move knees to position them properly.

was just kind of funny you'd say it's so old that it doesn't work with tf2 stuff due to being old, although last update to the tool was this year, and thumbnail literally having demoman tf2 being posed

also new problem it wont let me disable it and it wont let me remove the scout from the "Entity Children"

disable what, exactly? and yeah scout being in entity children tab is the intended behavior, like if you bonemerge a hat on him, it will become a tree with scout being the "parent" of the hat entity there so you could select hat there

they werent in the ki tool

i think i am very dumb

yeah ik tool is for making iks for ragdolls that don't have their ik info preset in the tool itself, like stuff that doesn't have bonenames of hl2 or tf2 guys. i think that's mostly like, for sonic/mario models with their own funny bone names.
