I'm personally not aware of any limits for number of images that can be loaded at once. I just use a regular Wallpaper Engine integration to load an image at random from the selected folder :)
I will try to make a test case and see if there might be some bug in Wallpaper Engine.
created a folder with 25 images, with numbers on them from 1 - 25.
selected that folder to run as a slideshow, and noted down the numbers in showing order
(I did 3 consecutive runs).
Seems to run fine for me, every image was displayed, and every image was unique in it's own set of 25.
( order in case you are wondered:
18, 14, 8, 15, 19, 3, 12, 23, 16, 5, 21, 2,13, 25, 10, 9, 22, 1, 24, 17, 4, 6, 20, 11, 7
22 ,8 ,4 ,2 ,13 ,19 ,15 ,3 ,16 ,24 ,1 ,6 ,20 ,17 ,12 ,18 ,11 ,25 ,21 ,5 ,9 ,23 ,7 ,14 ,10 ,17
24 ,4 ,16 ,11 ,21 ,8 ,5 ,20 ,13 ,15 ,22 ,14 ,23 ,19 ,6 ,7 ,2 ,9 ,12 ,3 ,10 ,25 ,18 ,1 ,14 ,9
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
TLDR:
I think it works =\ Maybe check some of your image files? I'm not sure if wallpaper engine can open more eccentric formats like .tiff, .apng, .webp etc.
My test only included .jpg images.
cheers,
Arthesian
