XCOM 2
Stop Wasting My Time - Legacy

Is it still working?
I have the mod active but I haven't noticed it having an effect. The Advent soldiers are still doing their annoying random pointing thing.

I will consider it a success if Central does shut up during hostage missions though. Yet to find out.

I hope so I just downloaded it. I'm new to the game but I gotta get rid of some of this annoying garbage.

Central seems to have stopped his blabbing about the civilians. That seems to be the only effect though... Hostile units still spend an age pointing and taunting.

It would seem some elements of the mod work, but most don't?

Central has definitely shut up during civilian rescue missions, and missions with the evac countdown.

Otherwise I can't say I've noticed any difference. There's still quite a bit of time wasting going on.

Indeed Majora, I'm also still experiencing the enemies pointing randomly.

This mod does not stop the enemies from pointing for no reason. It stops the 2s pause, where the game literally sits and does nothing, after the enemies point randomly for no reason.

I see. Thank you for the mod! It is a relief to have fewer Central notifications.

Oh, wait, I take that back! The WotC version removes the the pointing, but that was added after WotC came out, and I never came back and updated this version.

Oh!
May I politely request an update for this version too?
I'm a total noob and I'm not remotely ready to start playing with the expansion packs.

I'm not sure, but it feels to me like it does not work properly. Still there are 2 seconds between camera showing aliens and start of their animations and 2s after they stop moving.

BTW I wonder why devs thought this is a good idea.

So, I think this mod is for me, but I'm not sure if I'm going to like every change this mod does, so first I want to test it out.

What should I do in order for there to be zero risk of messing up my game/save file if all I want is to test the game? if I subscribe, launch the game, play for a while and exit without saving, and then unsubscribe, everything should be back to normal, right?

Edit: just some redaction corrections

2021 answer: no

@Mr.Weegeeman: As far as I'm aware the mod still works fine. In 99% of cases where it's not working, it's either because the launcher doesn't enable mods correctly (use the Community Alternate Launcher) or because of mod conflicts
