Requests
Do you have a dinosaur species in mind that you want to see get implemented into this mod? Other ideas? This thread is for you.

All requests should go here. :sadcyclops:

Compiled a list of those that I will add in upcoming patches (I evaluate all requests and choose those based on a rough idea of balance in my mind):

Art Completed:
- Protoceratops (small herbivore herd to fill the deer niche for dinosaurs)
- Yutyrannus (colder climate Tyrannosaurus replacement with lots of feathers)
- Corythosaurus (was also requested)
- Diplodocus (first to represent a late-Jurassic dino, if I can get the tail fit in)
- Dryosaurus (to fill the turkey niche)
- Baryonyx (mid-sized rainforest biome predator)
- Dilophosaurus (without the frills & venom)
- Compsognathus (to fill the fox-sized predatory dinosaur niche)
- Therizinosaurus (just because it looks silly)
- Minmi (to represent the Australians, also would be cool to have a smaller cousin to anky).
- Gigantoraptor (will be a good addition)
- Dakotaraptor (a more feathery alternative to the Utahraptor)
- Deinocheirus (again, from the silly department)
- Pteranodon (small pterosaur, will mark it as a non-hunting omnivore)
- Stygimoloch (will fill the ibex ram niche)
- Quetzalcoatlus (giant pterosaur, no idea what niche it will fill)
- Magyarosaurus (small sauropod that can become a pack animal! yay!)

Total roster (including the above): 31 dinosaurs.

Won't:
- Lythronax (too many predatory theropods already)
- Australovenator (again, too many predatory theropods)
- Ceratosaurus (again, same reason)
- Saurophaganax (way too many theropods man, yeah this guy was amazing but still)

Australovenator
One of my favorite dinosaurs is the Australovenator (It's like Australo-venator, not like Austra lovenator, although that would be hilarious, if I don't tell people they can't take it seriously)

The base game has quite a few Australian animals, it'd be nice to see an Australian dinosaur in one of my favorite mods. :)

Pictures for reference.

I was about to suggest another favorite, Yutyrannus, but noticed you already have that one planned, it's proof that dinosaurs can still look badass and intimidating when depicted as feathered (http://vignette2.wikia.nocookie.net/dinosaurs/images/8/81/120404-LidaDino-BANNER.jpg I mean, come on, look at that thing.)

So instead I will suggest another large carnivore, Baryonyx.

Another cool smaller dinosaur is Stygimoloch, it's name means horned dragon from the river of hell..

And last but not least, Lythronax, another slightly feathery carnivore.

Anyway, fantastic work on this mod, whether all or even one of these suggestions is added this mod is one of my favorites. :)

Oh and last thing, is there any chance you could do a version of the carnivores where they all have jaws like the Carno does? :)
You be no means have to, I just prefer that look, I even tried myself in paint. :)

If not, mind suggesting a program better than paint for editing the sprites?
Oh, and would you mind if I did? (For personal use)

I have some dinosaurus that I would like to see added to the mod, I will just write them down and you will decide if you will add them or not, just thought it may be cool to have them in game :
- Therizinosaurus (I really think that theri is a cool creature, not implemented in most of the games or mods though . . . new Dinosaur Tycoon games plan on adding this guy, but since it will take some time before they will relase an Early Acces, so maybe you could give it to players first)
I also think people will be happy if you add more dinos from Jurassic Park or Jurassic World (not necessarily with their film looks and abilties . . . no venomous dilos please . . .) and it would be cool to see some of them in RimWorld, for example :
- Dilophosaurus (but please not venomous, frill is up to you, but no venom please . . . )
- Compsognathus (would be cool to have a carnivore that wouldn't murder you right after you try to tame them . . . )
- Ceratosaurus (there is already a Carnotaurus, and they are quite similar . . . but I feel like Cerato would fit Rainforests)
- Corythosaurus (just another cousin of the Parasaur)
- Baryonyx (yes, there WERE Baryonyx in Jurassic World, just not shown in the film, and I think like it would be awesome to see it in the game)
- Pteranodon (is it even possible? I mean, there never were flying creatures in RimWorld . . . in my opinion in order to make it you would just have to make it that if it is under the roof it looks like it is standing on the ground, and if it is in the open area it looks like it is flying, wouldn't fly though, just would look like it does)
Next thing is about the Australian creatures . . . RimWorld needs more of them, however I personally would prefer to see Minmi more than Australovenator (I just hope I remember correctly that Minmi is from Australia . . . if not, then my vote goes to Australovenator)

It is! :)
Nice choice, I was just worried most people would just think it was a normal/common ankylosaurus..

Sarcosuchus for me the giant crocodile!
Leafshade 26 Sep, 2017 @ 7:53am
How about the gigantoraptor?
Could you tweak the attendance of dinos, i feel they stick too much on the map, at my opinion they should act like thrumbos (or at least for big dinos).
Also maybe some biome threatening dinos like uber beavers on steroids kinda dinos, dunno if it existed ? 'cause you can pretty much ignore every dinos on map without problems, feels weird.
Really enjoying the mod so far, its great to include dinosaurs to my colonies and farms! I even found a seed with a nice island to start a very profitable buisiness venture... but on another note, i was wondering if anyone knew of a way to adjust the spawning of animal pawns in the game.

Saurophaganax! Giant allosaur the size of a t-rex. Should be faster then the other therapods, and maybe be an apex predator that hunts other meatasauruses?

+1

I'd like to be able to use all dinos of an appropriate minimum size in caravans. Not only would it be great (and justify the bionic spine I gave my Brach) for utility, it also reminds me of a movie that I forgot the name for. Humans lived with dinos and had special crystals to prevent predators from eating them. I think the plot involved a submarine and getting more crystals. But yeah, they used pack dinos.

As far as I can tell we won't be getting much more carnivores, Sarcosuchus may be a thing as it is something different than all the creatures, but yeah, I agree that to save that RimWorld realism there needs to be about 3x more herbivore species than carnivore species.

The diet of Gigantoraptor is uncertain, it's like a huge ass flightless bird looking thing.

how about a way to change spawn amounts

I mostly meant about Saurophagnax, but Gigantoraptor for me seems like just another Therizinosaurus looking creature so I have no clue if it will be in the mod or not.

Ahh, makes sense.

Personally I think the body types of Gigantoraptor and Therizinosaurus are very different, as demonstrated here.

Either way, just food for though for the mod dev.
