- Getting rid of dependency on base script which would lead to conflict free mod :]
- I've been toying with golems lately and their actual uniqness as summons. I want to implement
a system of powering up golems via source points. You would summon your golem as usual but you could also give it some of your source points to give him a stacking buff or a buff which would give it extra abilities.
Tell me what you think.
What about powering not by source itself but different source orbs (custom created with source usage)? The idea is to chose one or two max from many, thus customizing your golems for a current playstyle/needs
For example
1) Red orb that buffs speed and damage
2) Blue for armour and health aka tank
3) Green for aura buffs
Etc.
You can also create skill orbs (what they do is kinda obvious - give skills).
The idea is: say you have two orbs slots and player can use one buff orb and one skill orb.
Also you may create some uber orbs that take both slots and are hard to make but give some crazy shenanigans like portable source sharer for a couple turns ( like malady and company did in the final boss fight) or making him a badass wizard or rogue.
P.S. Hope you won't forget offensive stuff, tryied Overlord mod for damage spells, they were IMHO mgh, unbalanced and some of them couldn't be even created.
I am preparing an overhaul of Golems and how they work. Since the new update summoning a golem will give you particular set of spells which will help encourage a particular playstyle. For example flesh golem will give you a spell to siphon blood out of nearby corpses and heal yourself.
There will also come a way too long overdue function of "zipping" your golem. It's a spell which will be added to your bar when golem is raised and lasts till it's death. Deconstruct is an only out of combat skill which kills your golem and adds it back to your bag.
Consume is also going to receive an update. It won't only heal you but it will also give you a buff depending what you consume.
@zero here is your answer ^^.
Thank you! :)
