Mounting Dark Messiah.
When downloading this map, it may be possible that you can encounter problems with the content in this map. Because the content is ripped from the Dark Messiah Might and Magic game, you can Mount Dark Messiah to syphon it's juicy goodness so that -maybe- all Dark Messiah related maps can work flawlessly.

However before going ahead and Mounting Dark Messiah please consider:

- Have you activated BOTH the Materials pack for this map and the map file itself on the addon menu?
- Have you restarted GMod after downloading the map?
- Have you addressed your problem to me first?

Also consider:
- Mounting Dark Messiah DIRECTLY to your Garry's Mod can effectively slow down your game.
- Mounting Dark Messiah can replace many elements of Garry's Mod, such as Decals and Sprites.
- Mounting Dark Messiah if not done correctly may even damage your Garry's Mod (Dunno how you'd manage so, but i'm sure it's possible).
- Do you have Dark Messiah in the first place to conduct this attempt?

You will need a Program named GCFScape which can read the internals of files named .vpk files, which typically contains the core content of a Source game such as Half Life 2 and Counter Strike.

Get GCFScape Here[nemesis.thewavelength.net]
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Once you installed GCFScape, open the program up and go to your steamapps/common folder and find Dark Messiah if you have it, Dark Messiah keeps their vpk files in the ''vpk'' folder, which is very nice of them tbh.

Now Dark Messiah vpks are strange and decide to use numbers in their filename unlike Valve who distinguish their files as sound / textures, but i'll list the IMPORTANT vpks and what they contain so you don't need to painstakingly search for them

depot_2103_dir.vpk > Contains the Models.
depot_2104_dir.vpk > Contains Misc Materials such as decals and sprites, aswell as general map use.
depot_2105_dir.vpk > Contains the Materals for their respective models.
depot_2106_dir.vpk > Contains the Materials which are used for maps, I used generic/l05 if you want to save space.

The rest 2107>2109 contain sounds if you want to implement them, but I don't use them cause they take up a lot of space, your disk space is up to you. 2102_dir.vpk contains the map files if you really want to have a play with them, but I seriously do not reccomend playing them without cleaning them up.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Extract -all- files of the listed vpks into a seperate folder, preferably named ''mm'' in your desktop or any suitable space in your computer
-EXTRACTING THE FILES DOES NOT DAMAGE YOUR DARK MESSIAH.-

Be aware that extracting all these files is basically like extracting the entire ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game, so don't be suprised at such a bunch of space will be taken from your computer.

Usually people have the instinct of placing their raw files into their Garry's Mod file do not do this please As it can really mess it up - Trust me, i've done it. Instead I placed the entire mm file in the Half Life 2 Folder - And -not- the hl2 folder, so it does not overwrite any aspect of any game, just adds the materials to be used by the Hammer level editor, which can work in game.

To be safe I copy and pasted the Half Life 2: Episode 2 gameinfo into the ''mm'' folder in the Half Life 2 Folder, and basically made it work out, I do not think this is entirely mandatory, as i had to just copy the gameinfo solely that the Materials would work in the Hammer program.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hopefully this discussion has helped, if not I can revise my steps. Please be ready to accept that the map may not just work for you naturally.

Speaking of materials and models, while checking them I˙ve seen at least one model that looks horrifying even without materials, which makes me think that these were present when the game was still in early development, but were dropped in order to not influence the ESRB even more than they did. One such model is "roastedgoblin", which might very well be Zhim.
¿What file I download? ¿Installer or Archiver? And, ¿what versión I installer?

Get the latest version, cause that is basic common sense. And get whatever file that suits you; installer or archiver, it doesn't really matter since they work the same.

Ok, I was extract all the vpk files and the maps can't load correctly. ¿What you wanna say with "cleaning them up"? I wanna learn who can I play in the maps.

Cleaning them up, meaning that you will have to remove all scripted events manually using the Hammer Editor, Like I had done with this map.
