that i wasn't expecting.
i tried to keep the rare items to the higher tier. but looks like ill have to readjust it since only taking two items.
not much i can do about the spiders sadly.. except lower the spawn amounts.
The problem is for some reason it is taking EVERY spider in the lab type areas (including the spider factory) and sticking them ALL in one room. So basiclaly you get like 8-9 in the lab and like 20-30 in the spider factory rush you at once. They basically trample anything trying to fight them (and these are just the vanilla ones, not your suped up ones, lol.) The stagger alone was horrid. It was enough stagger my skeletons gained like 10 points dodge, because apparently you gain dodge while staggered, lol.
Earleir today I had to play run a guy inside Ancient Lab over and over pulling only 1-2 from the group at a time. Then I ran into that same issue with liek eveyr spawn everywhere. This is evne including the crabs and blood spiders where they were clumped on a spot inside the buildings, instead of spread out liek they used to be.
I liked the idea of adding the uncommon tech stuff to the research costs. It was liek playign scavenger hunt, which makes sense. If you think about a lot of apocalypse games and movies ther eis always some sort of scavenger hunt for tech parts involved. Just those top end parts kinda push you into that late game content too early.
As for the consumption in research not evne sure the consumption works right honestly. I remember they had issues with it not consuming the full amount of plants for farming for a while until they cut back the amount to liek two items.
would be nice it it took em all. thought i had it well planned out for items it required.
oh well problems with custom game engines at times lol.
I was thinking on going to the mod section and seeing if anyone could whip up a mod for some alternative armors. Such as a type of carapace armor that used crab shells.
I still dont get why mercenary plate legs disappeared honestly. The fact that only samurai leggings exist for a metal leggings is kidna disapointing when chain or banded could have easily existed. I think there is a banded armor mod out there already.
I would still like to help find some work around or balance issue with planks/axes though. Just WAY too easy to make cats off them since they are really common. Like I can walk into many empty ruins and snag an easy 20k, never mind a pack of 5 Kral's Chosen is an easy 10k cats. From my understanding they have a high value because of the amount of mats used. Now what if the amount of mats were lowered and the type of mats were changed. Of course that might also require making up some new raw materials, like iron or steel ingots, or soemthing.
balancing that is the hardest to do because can't edit the sales price without affecting the entire line.
at this point there really is nothing stoping being able stop that cash cow except for what i did but as we both know that's only temp. as eventually it will over power my ability to make money sinks.
Cactus farming tate 2 of the cactus instead of 6.
Hemp farming ate the 2 hemp, but left the books and water.
Grog distilation ate the 6 books, but not the 2 water and 3 wheatstraw.
Crafting storage only ate 2 building material.
Iron plates only ate the book
Riceweed farming only ate 2 riceweed.
Wind generator only ate the 2 books.
Rum brewing ate the books and the jug, not 6 cactus.
Figured maybe showing some examples might develop some sort of pattern.
think i'll get to work on that on monday though, need time to actually play myself lol
i loved that part. what a perfect way to start a shop counter then having to find that scroll.
Well the stupid hinge is holding me up because I need it for crafting boxes, lol. I thought I seen them in the Hive Trader junk.
Quin does sell the hinge (for craft storage - should be easier to find), a CPU, and most the other high tech parts.
I have still not had any luck finding the Money is Freedom yet. I guess it is time to go check the library?
