As of November 26, 2018, I have sadly made the decision to step down from my position as the Ultimate Galactic Conquest: Custom Edition's level designer due to creative differences and conflicts of interest with the projects founder, Guillaume (MiniGui98).

Having only worked with Gui for a little over a year, I cannot begin to express how grateful I am for the opportunity he has presented me with and the amount of progress the mod has made within such a short period of time is something that I am proud to have been a part of.

While I am stepping away from my role as the project's level designer, that does not mean that I am leaving the Empire at War modding community as I will continue to produce map-related content for the Absolute Chaos mod, Awakening of the Rebellion, Republic Assault: The Clone Wars, and Republic at War.

I wish Guillaume and the rest of the UGC:CE team the best of luck in their future endeavors!

Seing you leave this project makes me sad, thanks for the great work Ian.
What about the maps that were in the making? Does this mean that UGC: CE will not use any of your future maps or just that there will be no more maps especially made for this mod?

There were actually quite a few maps in the works that were more or less scrapped including a complete refurbish of Nar Shaddaa, Coruscant, Tatooine, Ord Mantell, Onderon, and Duro.
Hosnian Prime and Empress Teta were also going to have proper night modes with illuminated versions of the Urban buildings (courtesy of RaW).

Naboo had another rework planned with some slight reoptimizations and a slightly more accurate Theed (with Battlefront and RaW assets).

Christophsis was (in UGC's case) about a month or a few weeks away from being completed; meaning it won't be featured in UGC.

Rattatak would have been ready by the end of December and I was finally going to try making a new Corellia land map to scrap the MP version I repurposed. Ambria was still a work in progress and I had plans for a new Urban map for Commenor.

While I'm no longer going to be making maps for UGC:CE, I'm actually going to be redistributing all the maps I made for UGC:CE to all the modding teams that assisted over the course of the year (the ones listed above).

So any content that I made for UGC that is in the live version or scrapped in conjunction with my resignation will continue to receive updates across the board on multiple different mods including Absolute Chaos (which just happens to use the UGC galactic map).

As for audio related stuff, all CIS-related stuff is in RaW's possession and all of the Galactic Civil War-era mods that UGC collaborated will have access to Scarif, the Death Troopers, Lando, Luke audio, etc.


Long story short, I'm donating all my stuff back to the collaborators ♥
It won't be an immediate thing though since I will need time to reorganize all the resources before they can be exported to the respective parties.
