Have you tried loading the game via the launch code?
1) Go to your Steam library
2) Right click on EaW, go to properties
3) In the "General" tab, select "add launch options" (or something like that)
4) Put "STEAMMOD=1156943126" without cotes in the box, press ok.
5) Launch FoC, and the mod should boot.

You have to clear the command line of any code if you want to play vanilla or another mod.
