WOTC Show Enemies and Terrain on Mission Planning

Enhancement suggestions - please post here your suggestions
Hey guys, I made this topic so you can post here your suggestions regarding this mod.

Here’s my todo list right now:
1. Allow panel size adjustment
2. Allow text placement within his own panel (not allowed to get out of his panel)
3. Resize panel and text dynamically it user set it up so they could get out of the screen (so making them completely visible even if they are 10 pixels from one edge of the screen)
4. Allow for ShadowChamber style panels instead of classical backgrounds

Not sure to keep everything though!

was thinking, maybe for those that have too much on screen or want the option to just toggle the info on screen or something, maybe thru a onscreen button. that way it wont overlap anything and can give all the information needed that isnt needed in squad select . if i am making any sense. hmmm how to put it the way its in my mind :P

Hi Klord68!

To be honest with you, I did not completley understand what you meant...? :-)
Right now, there is a toggle button in MCM to allow you to turn Terrain Info OFF.
You can also Disable Backrounds in MCM.
You can also move text where you think it'll be the best for your taste.

So, what would you like being able to turn OFF? :-)

If you're talking about Ennemies List, yes I could allow User turning it OFF, but then you'll lose completely the purpose of this mod, but hey, why not ^^

Hi Nephalem, to be honest I thought about it yesterday when parsing game files, and when I saw someting about "Exalt" still present in XCOM 2 game files (with some funny dev comments saying that it's just some old stuff ported from XCOM EU ^^)

So, to be able to do that, I gotta get in touch with the Author, and ask him the Character Group Names he used for his new ennemies.

I'm not saying I'll do it, but at least I'm gonna ask him ;-)

Edit: I asked him on his Workshop, waiting his answer :-)

Ok just saw his answer, it turns out the way the mod is designed does not allow for MOCX units to be detected by Shadow Chamber, so I can't display an Icon for it...
To confirm this, if you're using my mod and also MOCX, please play the game until you get a mission with MOCX and check Enemies List.
If nothing is displayed in Enemies List, this means Shadow Chamber has not been able to detect that MOCX units will spawn during this mission.

Ok alright then, I’ll add this group to the tests.

Please can you check if there are other MOCX names that are displayed?

only MOCX Trooper are displayed in the Enemy list... I wish it could be like "Mocx Ranger" "Mocx Grenadier" "Mocx Specialist" and others...

Oh ok so you can confirm there is only one string displayed on screen (MOCXTrooper) although there are different kind of MOCX soldiers on the field?
If so that is just one test to add, and only one icon, so that should be quick :-)

Anyway I’ll ask authors of MOCX what is going on there ^^

Mmhhh I retrieve enemy name from its template, so I can’t do much about it if the name of the template has not been differentiated from the start :-/
Can you please select to show enemies icons , so I can also get the Character Group Name variable in order to display an icon for MOCX, thanks dude you’re really helping here :-)

To be clear:
Enemies list shows enemy name, and enemies icons panel shows enemies groups!
That way if there are two enemies with different names belonging to the same group, they will share the same icon on the screen.
Example: in better advent you have two types of Shieldbearer, but each one IS a Shieldbearer, so each one displays the same icon.

Like I said in description, if you want it please ask mod Author to communicate with me, and give me its Character Group Name :-)
I can't download everything to inspect files as to update my mod ;-)
