Regarding traveling in a coffin, I can help you with this part. It's kind of a complicated process, so I'll run it step by step.
1. Build a coffin.
2. Select your vampire. Right click on the coffin and select "Enter Torpor State." This will put them into stasis inside the coffin. It's similar to using a cryptosleep casket, except that they can wake themselves up.
3. Select the coffin, and tell it to Uninstall. (NOT Deconstruct.) This will transfer the coffin from furniture object to carryable item while keeping its occupant stored.
4. Go to the world map and form a caravan, and select the coffin as part of the items to carry along.
Keep in mind coffins weigh 45 kg regardless of material, so make sure you can carry that much weight.
