Vampires without death freak-out
I love this mod but there are two things keeping me from using it. The main part of the two things is that if you have a ghoul and you want to turn them, you 'kill them'. Which is fine... except your entire colony freaks out as if a colony member died. You can't hide it by doing it in a secret room, everyone just instantly knows, rages, their attached pets start attacking everything... It is an incredibly huge deterrent toward ever changing anyone into a vamp. Is there any way around this?

You could try using the forced labour mod. I think if all colonists are slaves they wont be affected like that... and then you recruit the ghouls?

mmm.. pets freak out too, so if they picked up any furry buddies those buddies go nuts

use disconected mod, and camping mod. bring the person you want to turn into the caravan and out a couple of tile away from the base and make a camp. then you turn him. the disconected mod will make colonists that are in the main base map to only know what happens there and not outside. this is also a great way if you want to take limbs or execute not guilty prisioners.

Oh fantastic idea and great idea of extra mods - I'll look into adding them / do it that way :)

I found 'set up camp' but not seeing a 'disconected' mod.. I'll keep looking
