honestly i hope not, they are balanced that way. I already think they should nerf a bit the tremere skill cause it insta kills most animals.

Mushrooms don't require light. Can't remember which ones are in vanilla, but most food based mods have them.

I have several ideas for this, i think simply removing sun damage would be too easy, but it's also annoying that we're only able to properly use our vampire pawns during the night, i personally don't like the idea of an empire of eternal night, i much prefer the scorching desert suns.
I thought that it might be a cool idea too add the option to swap the sunlight damage for a debuff instead. Like disabling vampire powers during the daytime/sunlight exposure debuffing them (like reversing the pain modifiers and damage threshholds to increase their damge) and increasing the blood drain when they are exposed to sunlight.
This would also require that vampires lose their rest bar, or make changes to it so it won't just drop to almost zero at dawn/ fill up automatically at dusk.
With these debuffs, vampires can be used much more versatile while also maintaning some kind of balance as using them during day time, especially for tasks like hunting/ base defense would require the player to seriously consider wether it is actually worth it.

I don't know how much work it would be to impliment that but i would love to see that as an option when you start a new game, giving those who don't care that much about balancing a bit more leeway while those who want the game balanced, to keep it the way it is.

Pardon me. What? Golconda Fort India is really cool FYI. I did a Google search and the vaulted diamonds are really cool.

In my attempt to remove sunlight exposure I turned the severity's to 0.. (Wrong way for anyone not familiar with the defs) Let me just say I learned my lesson really fast.

I don't know if you're still looking for a workaround, but I managed to do it with RIMMSqol - just edit the "sunlight exposure" hediff and set the Max Severity to something like 0.1.

I guess you could set it to 0 and see what happens, but I've never tried it since I like them having a slight debuff in the sun.
