Welp good news is I managed to make a dedicated moon map. Hazaaaah!
Still working on how I'm going to fit it into the game. I'm thinking making a separate ship with a custom launch command that spawns the map. Extremely open to suggestions on this part!
In the meantime, gonna start working on textures and other things to fill in the biome.

Uhhhhh yeah it's been a while lol
So, basically, managed to generate a dedicated "moon" map, make prototype "no oxygen" / "Has Oxygen" hediffs.... yeah. I had help with this earlier, but as of now I'm doin this thing solo, so it's gonna take a biiiiiiiiiiiit longer for me to figure this stuff out.
I'm STILL working on
- Implementing the oxygen system for JUST the moon map (I''m thinkin hediffs or a new sensitivity but I'm tryin different approaches)
=> After that, making spacesuits/airlocks will be a relative breeze
- Figuring out how to tie in the generation of the moon map with the launching of a vanilla ship (Another launch option like "Launch for Moon")
This is a lot to tackle for a C# beginner, but I just wanna let you guys know that I'm still working on it to the best of my ability :) If you have any experience in C# and the RimWorld assembly, however, Imma make a separate discussion for you to let me know if you want to help! :D I would REAAAALLLLYYYY appreciate it!
Stay Tuned!
Note: 7 months into self-taught C#.... this is fine :P

Short summary if you don't know it:
You can build your own ship and launch it and land it in another world. Maybe with that you can make the transition from planet to moon. Or later maybe building a space station or a whole universe but I think for that we need 64bit.
