back to the npcs yes he made it so that the clothes on them were permanent like I wanted the Orange tribemen to be black but could not make it happen. So I had to make a choice and go after the Black Tribesmen at the time. I liked Extinction Core but the megabytes and content just kept climbing.
If I could just get to creating my Tek Biome themed area I'd definetly make these 2 the major reason to visit the place to challenge them as the Final Bosses of Ragnarok. I could even create a Lore about them as them being the cause of the destruction of the facility which is Why not even Tek Warriors even dare not try to face them unless they are prepared.
I may end up having to do something like EC did, and have various stypes of npc's and what they have is what they have.
I did manage to kinda get it to let you cloth them with armor you set, but there became a duping issue with their gear, as you could just keep taking on and putting on an item and it would dupe the item they had on. There don't seem to be away to tell them 'have this default item on' but let you remove it and it stays removed.
If it's more complicated than it sounds yeah I think you have no choice but to create them in different types and colors for said specific tribe. yeah we definetly wouldn't want duping to happen.
My goal for how to tame them will be kinda like the Moschops. Where they ask for diff items. Rather cooked meat, fiber, metal, maybe an artical of prim armor. All based on what kind of npc they are. Like the newbi's may be happy with a cloth shirt, or stone pick, where as say the higher up guys in flack may want metal or ammo.
That's for the neutral guys, I want some aggressive one's as well that you would have to knock out and handcuff them. Or... make a new handcuff item that acts as 'food' seeing how ark is so limited in how we tame stuff. But yeah, you'll knock em out. 'Shackle' them, and make them give in to join you. I'll also be adding in a failure rate that if fail will instantly wake them up. Need some sort of challenge!
I have a bit of everything to ad here so I apologize for the long post. >.<
First off, I love this mod. No matter what theme my server is rotating to, I just can't bring myself to take this mod off. The dino's move beautifully and really add to the immersion on my RP server. All the creatures from this mod also work perfectly with the Immersive Taming mod, which is really nice as most of us tame with that mod.
The only thing I would like to see added to is the farm crop plots, the long one's. Their amazing and look great, but I would love to see more sprouts coming out of the ground when I use them. Like 4 or 5 sprouts each? Just so it stands out a little more. The long grass looks the best, but I'm a sucker for green leafy plants and would love for the Savoroot and Citronal to be a little fuller when fully grown. And maybe have some orange peaking out at the tops of Rockaroots? Just so it looks like there are carrots in the garden lol. If this is a hard change then don't worry about it, I'm just happy to be able to create a nice and natural looking garden in the first place. x)
And finally I have a question. What program do you use to edit the dino models? You don't have to answer, but I'm currently trying to create a mod that will add some staple creatures for RP. Such as cows, different breeds of horses, and chickens. But I don’t see a way in the dev kit to mess with the overall size of dino’s or how to add horns and such. I’m new to modding and just a little lost on where I should go.
Thank you for reading!
I don't think I can add any extra plantsto the crops. What you see when growing crops is a single socket, and a single model. I can edit how high/low in the crop plots the models of the plats sit, but I can't edit the model its self with out editing ark's default plant, and that could cause conflicts with other mods. I can see about lifting the socket up a bit so the tops of the Rockaroots poke through.
The devkit does have ways to edit the size, and add horns. But if you want to go full on editing the shape and making the model look like something else, you need to use another tool. I use Blender for my model edits. It's a long and painful methood and more than once I've had to start over from the ground up. Even with editing in blender you still have to set up the skeletal file, the rig, re-target animations, and pray ark don't crash anywhere along the way. Plus, if you need to go back and tweak something, you're doing it all the importing, re-rigging, etc again.
Adding horns or such to an existing dino isn't that hard, so long as you make a copy of the creature's BP to add to your mod (never edit ark's default files, even full convertions make copys and just tell the game to spawn their version instead) and drag mesh's in under the componets tab.
Youtube is great to look up tutorials, Mystic Academy's channel has some nice ones, just be weary as a few he puts up he don't acually test and just says they work. (like his wander harvest one.... it don't work)

Gives you the basics, though it don't go into editing the mesh.
It is located under dino info.
Well for one, this isn't an overhaul mod, it does not touch or edit any of ark's existing files so yes it works on all maps and along side all mods. It's fully stackable and can be anywhere in the load order.
There are Aberration varsions of most my dinos (all but the dire warg as there too close to the raviger in terms of what they can do. minuts the ziplines). My boss's also don't spawn on AB, I am working on a boss that fits more with the worlds theme that will be released in future.
But yes, it will work fine on Aberration.
Direwargs and Direwolves do not share the same spawn zones. I've chcked out 5 servers as well as SP, theres no shortage of direwolves when you go to where they spawn.
I am looking into the bleed attack and it should be tweaked by next update.
Also keep in mind it's very much like the raviger in the bleed, only the alpha does it.
Yes as listed in the dino info and as the screen shots show, they do spawn on Rag, as well as all maps that use ark's spawn zones.
