Edit - The focuses 'Pacific Non Agression Treaty,' 'Pacific Treaty Organisation,' and 'Southern Sphere' all have an odd event name. In addition, the 'Southern Expansion' focus appears to forcefully add a NAP when selected, rather than giving the Soviets a choice. I didn't take them, so I'm not sure if the event is bugged in addition to the name, and the treaty is force added, but everything else in the tree looks good.
As an additional note I suppose, more feedback than anything, there's no time lock on the 'Rhineland' focus, meaning that Germany can easily go through it's inital focuses months earlier (due to the start date change). This causes them to be slightly unbalanced. I know that everything is in the works and that the team is probably waiting for the new DLC to take a look at the German focus tree, so I thought I'd make you aware now.
Otherwise, I'm really enjoying some of the changes! The tech was very interesting to explore, and I'm thinking of a couple of new, evil templates to use against the mates XD. Keep up the good work. (Doesn't matter if this last paragraph isn't a bug report, I'm putting it here anyway! :P)
As for the Japanese Focus tree about the time I was going to go back and do some more work on them we found out the new DLC was going to be focused on China so we will be replacing the existing one with the new one that comes out with the new DLC. and the AI should never take those focuses.
As for Germany we are still trying to decide on exactly what to do but france and britain do start in a better position with a lot more equipment than the Germans so it should take them a little longer to build up then the base game.
Oh, I totally forgot about Japan getting the new tree! My bad.
Regarding Germany, that seems like a good way to do things. As Britain and France, you have almost zero ability to expand to Germany's 1939 level, so adding to the start should work.
Edit: I'll also fix the event names for those various focuses. As for the Soviet NAP; it is indeed a vanilla thing forces it, however I'll switch it to be optional so a human USSR player can deny it. Will include in a later patch.
Sounds good.
Seriously? Damn I thought it had been fixed engine side.
Additionally, I'm not sure if it's an intended feature of this mod or of New World Order, but the manpower of each country is vast, allowing them to create huge armies from the very beginning. It's now September 1936 and Germany has an army of 125 divisions; 98 of them are infantry divisions which are all above 20 combat width. I point this out here because I expect it's the reason Germany is taking those focuses so early; they're locked behind manpower requirements which Germany is reaching very early on, though every other country can do the same.
Early game manpower is high, but the later manpower laws are heavily nerfed, it makes minors much more viable to play as. But yes, we're aware Germany is taking Sudetenland early.
