Super-heavy tanks would never have worked. They were a dead-end idea since inception. They couldn't even be moved by railway for the most part. And asides from a few studies, they didn't even exist or seen combat in ww2.

They shouldn't have been part of hoi4 in the first place.

this is all true, but I like the option, and there was a strong chance if the war lasted longer they could have. but there is no super heavy battleship which is did serve

Super heavy battleships are a Japan exclusive tech, as they were IRL. Super heavy tanks aren't as they were never fielded and they are unfeasible from an engineering point of view.

then why can't I use stuff like t-95
or the maus

Neither of those two were fielded. Further, due to how the "armor" stat works in HoI4, these units make for extremely poor and unbalanced gameplay. They will not be added back to the mod, end of story.

We would have to balance them, which is impossible I am afraid.

the arguments of super heavy tanks not existing is a lie, it is tru they never seen combat, but the nazis did indeed put them into full production, it was just unfortunate that the factory producing them in poland got overrun before it could complete a tank, only a few turrets and hulls got completed, but thats aside from the fact, that yes they were produced but just not in time. thats just the most famous example though. if i remember correctly the americans also had a super heavy "tank" at the end of the war also, although it was more of a tank destroyer.

yes they would have been a logistical nightmare and only usable with heavy air superiority but the fact is yes they were put into production, just to close to the front to be of any use.

personally i dont care if they were added or not. i just would like to see people learn more about the super heavy tank concept

Pretty dumb explanation, since while in real life Germany wasn't able to produce and deploy these super-heavy tanks, that doesn't mean that in your playthrough, you wouldn't be able to do it. I'd fail to see why, for example, in my Imperial German playthrough, after building up a massive industry with sufficient resources, I wouldn't be allowed to make super-heavy tanks.

As previously mentioned, even outside of RL production issues, properly balancing these units is not possible due to how armor is calculated in HOI4.
