I just started a campaign, and there was mostly normal missions, my 4 people against 2 to 3 pods, no problem.
And then there was Vietnam 3.0!! It was a retaliation mission in a city, one of the Chosen showed up, Lost all over the place, Resistance fighters running their own show, half helping half not.
It was INSANE! There were about 20+ enemies on the board and I was thinking "We are just new rooks, time to egress the hell out of Hell's Kitchen, because Daredevil and Jessica Jones are not showing up!"
I wheel my squad to the right and one of the Advent flares pops up right in front of me, and then there is what I though was a glitch, the flare burns again.
TWO drop ships dump a mech and a bunch of other clowns (including some from your circus, Biotroopers)
Every turn after that one or two more drop ships. I failed to get through, had to reload from the flare in front of me, and retrace my steps (right into a faceless that followed us across the map).
Out of the 4, 2 made it, and one of them because the game was kind and gave me back my dazed soldier.
My question is this. WTF happened here?! I have over 300 mods, including all of the "A Better xxx" While I liked the insanity, and it didn't really cost me much, I'm wondering if there is some wild dynamic between gameplay mods.
I was laughing this morning at breakfast about it, thinking how many standard deviations from the norm it was and how much more firepower deviation it had.
Is there some way for me to check this out? Who would be the likely culprits?
Thanks for reading this wall of text, you may now google "Sabrina Sabrok" and wonder.
