@Noremac_TC As one of the sprite artists for this mod, I'll say, it's a good start.

If I were to make suggestions, try curving the mid sections of the blade a little and doing some shading. Shading really makes things pop. Remember, for Starbound, use lighter colors and more detail for the left side, as that side will always be facing upwards so the sun hits it, bringing out it's details. The right side should look more or less the same however, have only the main details stand out, as that will always be in shadow.

Keep practicing, but don't get too distracted from your everyday needs. Although I'm self taught, it took me years to become the pixel artist I am now.

Also my last sword was more of an open concept design I was hoping to throw some particle effects on it because it was all opaque and it was gonna be made of clouds or fog or something idk, I just didnt want a cookie cutter idea ya know.

Use your common sense. They're standard weapons like broadswords, how would they be named?

Well sorry if I'm not a coding god like you are, mr. knowitall
And I missed the comments one, I never check the comments because I thought that no-one is stupid enough to put an important code in a temporary spot.
Guess I'm wrong.
Perhaps a compatibility patch for Frackin U's added elements (radiation, shadow, cosmic) and broadsword alts?
Hmm how about tagging the Solus Katana as a Katana? Also, maybe, turning the Hokucide into a Katana?

Im a bit late to the party but mohl is most definitely not a coding god :P and still common sense and its not important code, i dont know how it would be. If you cheat at all in the game, you would know that theres common, uncommon and rare broadswords, guns and so on


Now if you have ability or different suggestions leave it in the Upcoming Update! So i can see suggestions and create them if theyre wise and worthy, this includes blade ideas and handle ideas, abilities and so on

I am creating a hokucide like katana called the rising tide where the splash/wave is a trail alt

I have not so much a weapon idea, more of an ability sugestion; "Air Slash"/ "Air Cutter".

You hold right click for like 2~4 seconds(slowes movment) and when you release, it shoots A weak, non~elemental, cresent, wave, projectile. Dealing damage based on tier scale.

well I've never encountered a "Traveling Slash", but the idea is YOU don't go anywhere the sword releases a Projectile to *shoot* enemys with meele damage.


(If that IS what a "Traveling Slash" does than I apologise for inapropiatly taking your time)

Yeah, that's exactly what Travelling Slash does. It's one of the random broadsword abilities, lol. Though, it's only ever elemental, so a physical one could be neat.
