Upcoming Update!
So I’ve been working on the next update for this mod adding tons of new features!
Since this update is so big im hoping it will push it into beta or even full release!

The update is called the "Rising Star" update!

Currently complete features:
- 20+ new blades
- Resprites of all existing handles and blades to fit the new 4 wide blade for more details and possibilities
- 30+ new handles
- 5+ new abilities
- Completely removed straight blades as theyre not katanas, don't worry though, the unique things about them were converted to curved blades, the straight blades may make it to another mod as well
- Custom elemental flipslashes, spinslashes and others
- New ability Flipstrike: the player does the normal flipslash however it has elements and when used in midair you jump up while spinning as a sort of double jump... Available on all katanas
- Custom elemental flipstrike sfx
- New ability Elemental Kunai: you slash upward launching 3 elemental kunai that explode after a few seconds, is aimable and is similar to the solus katana... Available on uncommon+
- New ability Elemental Power: You rise the sword above your head and your katana gets empowered and lets off its elements particles, it deals increased damage and can be toggled on and off... uncommon+
- New ability Elemental Discharge: you stab the ground launching multiple little energy arrow heads of the element in the air which then rain down around you, they have homing capabilities... Rare only
- New ability Parry Counter: A parry where when hit you counter attack with a slash... Available on all katanas

Currently planned features;
- Maybe random combos, where it has a chance to be a different combo
- Unique katanas (Rising Tide, and a normalish katana)

And many more awesome things!

If you want to suggest a katana ability, leave a name, what it does and what katanas it can be on and must meet the requirements listed below.
1. It must be katana-like so no hammer or gun-like abilities
2. Common = Physical
Uncommon = Elemental w/no status
Rare = Elemental w/status
3. Must not be a different version of an existing ability, like a different flipslash or something similar
4. Nothing OP
5. Requires a name, and low/med/high dmg and low/med/high attack speed and low/med/high energy usage, and lastly whether its elemental or not, or if it is both elemental and not(physical)

Keep in mind not all abilities will be accepted and most will be altered, all accepted abilities will be listed at the bottom of this discussion!

i guess i ought as well try to suggest one thing...

Phantom Slash
med - high damage, low - medium attack speed (charge), med - high energy use, can have elemental effects, can only be used on the ground.

holding right click begins to charge up the ability. you are unable to move while charging. depending on the charge amount (automatically releases if energy completely depletes), damage and attack range is increased.

the attack itself is like a mix of the trail dash and blink explosion abilities, except instead of leaving behind an elemental effect and causing an explosion, it causes a near instant dashing slash forward, only causing elemental explosions if the attack lands on an enemy. damage and dash distance (overall range) is dependant on how long it is charged. if the weapon is common tier/without an element, there will be no elemental explosion upon enemy contact.

I think it'd be nice to have crafted katanas (iron, tungsten, titanium, durasteel, violium) I'm not sure what abilities they'd have, but a modified flip-slash could work for the violium one. additionally It'd be cool to see the solus katana be changed by the mod a bit to act like a 'proper' katana like the rest of them

i believe that this mod would go great with Project Blade Dance, if you've ever heard of it. it modifies the Solus Katana to work similarly to this mod. however, i cant blame you for wanting a "standalone" way to change just the katanas and not every sword in the game.
