Anyways GM mode support is a part of my long-term plans, which I decided not to announce before I do proper investigation.
In simple words, you need to acquire a skill book from that vendor and enable a class by turning on a class-enabling stance "Way of the Blade Master".
Alas I have decided not to implement them simply because it would take a lot of extra effort pushing the possible release date even further =)
Now that mod is published and once most bugs are fixed I may reconsider on these features. At least the one that you are talking about does not seem too hard to implement.
So first, regarding the Lone Wolf thing. I understand that people are really attached to Lone Wolf and that some others already made Lone Wolves characters and therefore can't use BladeMaster. But Lone Wolf is an heresy to me, it is so overpowered it makes the game a complete joke unless you add a ton of difficulty mods. I am glad this amazing class isn't compatible, it forces us out of the comfort zone of Lone Wolf. Ps : Yet BladeMaster is overpowered too, not because of the skills, it needs to be strong and synergic, but from the stats, it is so easy to stack stats and become a reckless killing machine. Tbh I don't mind it, because that's part of the RPG meta, you can snowball, but I would just say that Oath of honor adds too much, it might be an easy way to balance.
Secondly I wanted to tell you, I am a modder my self (not on DOS:2 though, oh hell no haha) and I am proud of being a part of a lot of different modding communities ; from that perspectiv, let me tell you that your mod really impressed me. It is like a little DLC on it's own, it's bringing so much new stuff, mechanicly speaking, it is amazing. If it also added cosmectics, like let's say, new 2H swords skins randomized into the game, this could very well be the most godlike mod there is on DOS:2 ever. But it is already so complete ! Really, kudos to your work on this one, I am in awe.
EDIT : I deleted the paragraph where I asked you to let the players combo other schools skills with BladeMaster because I actually find it more interesting to combo other characters with it than simply giving the choice to BladeMaster to be anything. It is a team play class after all.
I am actually now thinking of balancing the class out for LW too but making sure that although stronger than non-LW BM it should still stay balanced and should not feel like a broken OP everyone expects LW to be =)
But for now I'm at a stage of considering whether it is worth it (will people go for LW BM if he's not gonna be as string as other LW characters?)
Personal or team one?
Alas this is something I'm bad at =( I have little to none designing and modelling skills =( Even doing current visual effects took me a good deal of time but going into the area of modelling is beyond me =))))
Excellent idea. This is exactly what I will be adding soon.
It is stable already so maybe a week or something and I'll post it there.
If you want it right now then send me a pm and I'll share the latest build with you
So I did put all of the blade master skills in the first two bars, switching from one to the other (1 being offensive stance and ultimate stance, 2 being defensive and focus stuff), having only vanilla skills like All In, Flesh Sacrifice, Adrenaline and so on.
But when I go through a cinematic (the one after the boat, the one after Alexandar at the port, etc), in the next fight, I cannot use a single abilty and their tooltips all say "All In, 3AP cost". All In being the #1 ability in the 1st bar. I have to open my skillbook and replace the abilities all over again.
Like I said, I don't mind since there's not much cinematics in this game but I have no idea on what could be making this happen.
Ps : Don't bother about the cosmetic stuff, unless someone that is gifted on it contact you, your mod does not need it, it's almost perfect (and it should be with the update) as it is. Lorefriendly skills icons could also be a thing but I kinda like the actual ones already.
Oh and never forget, you're a sexy beast erikem !
Thx again =)
