at this point it's now inconsistent with itself. either remove the part where burn ward prevents you from lighting any fire at all like most people want the trait to return to. or if you must keep the logic that this trait shouldn't allow you to use any fire. continue to ruin the trait that last bit of the way by not allowing you to do metal working because of it requiring the use of fire, if you aren't going to use good logic at least make it consistent with itself

they should at least add a way to get over a fear of fire. but like i said they made it inconsistent with itself because it still allows you to do metal working despite the obvious use of fire, in my opinion they need to either correct the obvious flaws in logic that allow that or they should just concede to the majority of the community who wants the trait to return to when the fear of fire wasn't a feature
