Playtesting
Hey guys,

While I'm going to be very busy with work for a week or so, I've started a Discord channel in the interim for players to organize matches. When I get back I'll be in the trenches with you all and really figuring out how the changes affect how the game plays.

Here's the link to the Discord channel:

There seems to be a bug with Eldar vehicles, they get a certain amount of HP (not shields) along with tier 1 shield upgrade. Tier 2 and 3 are fine. Falcon gets 700 HP for example.

Infantry shield scaling feels kinda off too. Dire Avengers's stats are 640/800/1120/1760(!). While I enjoy tankier units quite a lot I think scaling should be a bit more linear.

It's quite possible I jumbled things up a bit. I'll make a note to go through the upgrades when I get back. (Have to update tooltips and stuff anyway)

V0.2 is out. Among other things, it should fix the Eldar shield scaling stuff.

Not a fan of recent changes, namely elites being nerfed. I think the claim that elites are OP is a little exaggerated. When focus fired they die pretty fast, only now they can barely do anything. It's just not enjoyable to play them now. Something tells me that people who say that elites are OP haven't played the game much and not interested in playing it to begin with, therefore I don't know if it's worthwhile to listen to their complaints.

Nerfing CC, rangers, clearly overperforming doctrines and inprovements to economy/objective HP are all great but I think this mod has taken wrong direction as of late.

If the goal is to make the game accessible to more people I think it would be a good idea to reduce the APM load on players and the best way to achieve that is to buff unit HP, only this time by increasing base HP instead of buffing health upgrades, therefore giving players more time to react. It seems like DoW community doesn't like squishy units anyway.

The reason I'm avoiding buffing raw unit hitpoints is because there's such a wide spectrum of damage output in DoW3. Some Elites were so far off the charts that it simply wouldn't be possible to make them anything less than an instakill without giving units an absurd amount more health.

The Elites are still quite deadly, just slightly less so. Some are even stronger than they were before (Wraithlord, Assault terminators). It's possible that some Elites will have these changes partially reverted if through playtesting they end up feeling a little too weak. (For example taldeer got some of her damage back since she started to feel like a bit of a wet noodle)

Are there any particular Elites that you don't think are fun to play with now?
