A Week In Paradise Forever [AWPF]
Looking for a way to use the gore in this in other game modes
The only part of this REALLY FUN mod that I haven't been able to transplant into other game modes is the gore. Xmod brings over a lot of it, but confusingly doesn't bring over the chunks that fly off people when you shoot them. I also like the head explosion better in AWPF. Xmod includes an "enhanced bullet hit pack" that adds chunks to bullets that hit hard surfaces, but nothing to bring back the meat chunks on people from this mod. It hardly feels like I'm shooting people in the other versions of this game after playing this haha.

Now it looks like I could edit the xMod source for xBloodImpactEffects and probably fix the problem but 1) I'm not sure if that's the right script to edit and 2) I'm pretty sure I would need to compare it to the comparable script source file from A Week in Paradise Forever since I'm betting the source texture/mesh names are different/custom.

So I suppose my question is: any chance I could get my hands on the source for AWPF so I can try to make my perfect Postal 2 package? And if not, I'd settle for a standalone meat-chunks effect release or even just something to point me in the right direction of making it myself. I get this is an old as hell game so I'll take what I can get, thanks!

If anyone wants context my goal here is to have a single deployable Postal 2 package that includes Postal 2 Complete, Paradise Lost, AWPF (with the meat chunks I can integrate this more-or-less fully into the base Postal 2 I think), Corkscrew Rules, Happy Night, A Very Postal Christmas and a handful of other smaller custom games/game modes plus about 50 other workshop mods. And I want to be able to bring over my customizations (weapons, items, settings, cheats, HOPEFULLY GORE) via xMod (or the occasional standalone mod package) to each of those game modes. I've figured out how to move the workshop content and xMod configuration around from game mode to game mode, but I'm missing the meat chunks that I can only find in AWPF.

Thanks so much! Looking forward to playing through all the modes/mods/expansions this game has to offer while knocking 5 pounds of gore off people with each shot fired haha
Hello :) where do i put the files when i want to use it in all mods or how do i open the BasePeople.u to get the files in there ?

NVM, managed to find another way to do it, through trial and error (literally). Replace the BasePeople.u in Postal2Complete's folder, and then try starting up the game. An error will show. You can easily identify the files you need to copy over from AWPF's folder within said error.

Now the question remains... how do I merge both this and the Nothing Disappears mod?
