I had an iteration of this helmet that was literally "full blown" facehugger haha!

I didn't mean for it to be, but yeah I had to dial back a notch on that! Hopefully it still doesn't look too much like that!

Do you have any pictures of that "full blown facehugger" version?

I do in fact haha! But it is on an external HD at the moment and it is extremely low res with no texture though! just "way" too much line detail that wasn't all that great in the eye area! :P

This is a no - texture, very early on "mess around" of the Anchor concept and how I wanted to incorporate it with the tentacles. I am fairly certain I had several people tell me "facehugger" when I showed them! ;-)

Hmmm, I actually like that one better. It has more of a personality. The one you got posted looks too orikin for my tast. This looks like it belongs in the ocean :)

@Olian04 haha well, yes, I wasn’t shooting for an orokin theme design at all, just Tenno! But I did want to make sure that it would blend well with both regular hydroid and hydroid prime. A lot of my WIP designs were very close to my heart and as much as I liked them, they would’ve been close to impossible to low-poly.

The detail on the design you like better - the crevices In the lines are a bit too deep for a normal map to capture all the detail properly, etc...

My final design also has the best color distribution for each tint, the other ones were kind of all over the place!

Regardless, i’m flattered that you like the other one! It never even made it into “high res detail sculpting” and has no texture, / proportions were off, so thank you! :-)
