I'm not being demanding, but when you have a syandana that is literally three unusable weapons that look awesome, it's a bit disappointing.
@ReinFall: It would really just be a dual swords weapon dude. The only difference is that quick-melee would use the small blade, and the Syandana would become empty scabbards that also serve as snap points for the melee weapons to holster into.
No melee weapon interacts with a syandana. A new weapon would have to be created specifically for this syandana, especially to implement the custom quick-melee functionality, and it would have to override any custom quick-melees that are part of the stance itself, as the Sydon and Vaykor Sydon do.
No holstering option allows for interaction with a syandana. In fact, nothing interacts with syandanas these days - they even removed arcanes from them and gave them dedicated slots in your Warframes. Snapping a weapon to a syandana position is currently impossible.
What you're asking for, jsnforce, is something that could only be done by DE, could only work for one syandana, and would require you to have the syandana, its associated weapon, its associated holstering option, and be checked for animation errors with all associated stances for that weapon to ensure that holstering or the custom quickmelee doesn't bug out and cause the weapon to become unusable or ugly.
If you want to see the results of a similar issue, look at the new sephfann zaw nikanas. When they were first released, they failed to properly implement the scabbard for those, and there's tons of screenshots now that show off just how ugly and misplaced the scabbard is. This is for a weapon type that includes its own scabbard and incorporates sheathing and unsheathing into its stances.
On top of all this, they have to wade through the legal ramifications of putting all this official development time into a player created Tennogen syandana. Such as 'who gets the royalty payments for which part' and 'which parts are intellectual property of which person' and 'can the weapon be distributed in-game or for plat, even though some of its art assets are Tennogen which cannot be distributed for plat except on consoles?'
That's a lot to do for honestly not a lot of result. You'd get one melee weapon that interacts with a specific Tennogen syandana via a custom holstering option.
So yeah, jsnforce, while on face value it doesn't sound unreasonable, what you're asking for would take a whole lot more work than what you think it does. It's a pretty safe bet it isn't happening.
Just enjoy the Syandana as it is.
just by how you talk, you are absolute being demanding.. On the other hand ofcs it be cool to have these as weapon skins, and asking for only that might be somewhat realistic.. but a stance and a new way of interacting for weapons and synadanas.. Thats way more programing that just a simple "1.. 2.. GO"
Nope. we would still make sword skins with sildarg aesthetics, but not exactly these swords, kinda defeats the purpose of the syandana.
