2019 was a campaign originally created in over a decade ago (I thought it was sooner lol). The previous version had some problems, so the author decided to deliver something more polished. Good for him! The result turns out to be quite charming and entertaining, offering solid results.

This is a short campaign with only 3 maps, but each map manages to create enough consistency in its quality to balance the length dilemma. 2019 stands out especially for its clean graphics; a sort of not-too-distant future with monochrome, pastel and somewhat glossy aesthetics. The apartment complexes are tall and simple, but offer enough to carry us from end to end with a good passage of entertainment. The visuals make me feel like I'm in some sort of disinfection area, which, I think, matches the 2019 theme.

The gameplay is a bit clunky at times, and seems to have some issues with item balancing. At times, the ammo isn't worrisome at all, but the variety of weapons stagnates a bit, especially in melee. There didn't seem to be any spawn points, or at least I wasn't lucky enough to come across a single melee weapon.

The campaign ends with a simple crescendo event in a somewhat restricted area that prevents movement of both players and infected. But, even so, the short length of the mapset, coupled with its simplicity, makes it have a certain charm that is worth trying, even if it's nothing amazing or incredible, it's fun and acceptable.
