Suggestions and Ideas
Before any ideas I'd like to share with you the design philosophy that came behind this mod.

Design Philosophy
I was tired of all the huge ship classes mods that in my opinion only bloat the game even more so I thought of something that was almost completely integrated into the main game, but that could give the players more tactical decisions. So I went with some basic points:

  1. I want to widen the possibilities of ship designing as much as possible while staying within a vanilla-like experience.
  2. I want the mod to also be balanced for multiplayer.
  3. New ship classes are unnecessary and only increase feature bloat, I can work with the 4 vanilla ones just fine if I change the sections to give each of them a separate niche (one example are cruisers that are the best ship class if you want to missile spam in the mod).
  4. I'd integrate the new hull sections into techs already existing in the game to reduce feature bloat.
  5. I'd try to have no more than 6 hulls for each ship section so they could fit nicely into the screen with the mandatory UI Overhaul 1080p Plus mod

Knowing all that, feel free to throw in any ideas or suggestions.

I know many people have tried this, but really did not succeed at it. I come to you with this suggestion since, in all sincerity, you are the one I came to trust to design unique and balanced ship sections.
I was wondering if you would be willing to create a separate mod which would replace the vanilla ship sections with unique sections specifically tied to the ship styles you select at the empire creation screen.
I am even willing to purchase the all species packs (present and future) DLCs for you in order to allow you to achieve this.
If you are interested in taking a stab at it please do let me know and I'll try to assist you in every way I can!

I am currently doing my own rendition of this mod, I'll have it up in a couple of days, the idea remains to keep balance to slots, but I am not limiting ship class to specific niches. Each type of ship will have its own version for specific rolls. As far as unique sections for ship style I would not know how to do that.

I agree that 90% of evasion for corvettes is L T and a little M slot. But do not forget that the enemy empires in particular with this modification even on heavy ships can have M P slots ... And most importantly destroyers, cruisers, battleships, titans got (or repeatedly increased the number of possible slots) the ability to put H slots, who simply rip corvettes with their 90% deviations. And people staying under the changes given by this mod can turn their battleships into the most powerful aircraft carriers (because despite the vulnerability to the P slot, the H slot has the highest damage in the game). Also, AI empires do not build a purebred battleship fleet. Do not get me wrong, to the new buildings with H slot, I am positive. I do not agree with your position about the latest version of the design of the corvette.

I already thought and gave that a try, but coudn't manage to get it to work, my original idea of the mod had that feature in mind.

How about adding "Colossus" to some “H” and “P” slots. And then for its price (elevation slot, special project, special slot on the space station, huge cost, high cost of flotilla capacity, long construction) it is very weak ... In strength it should be slightly stronger than "Titan" ...

What I really yearn for is something like the Bulkhead sections, but with more A slots instead.
