Gut Worms treatment
Because Gut Worms seems to be treated as a non-dangerous disease, pharmacist never requests medicine for treatment. However this leads to agonizingly long treatment durations, due to Gut Worms not having a natural immunity gain rate. At 2 days between treatments, the treatment time can be absurdly long when your doctor is giving 10-20% tend quality trying to treat the disease without supplies. I had a pawn sick for an entire year because of this, despite being curable within 6 days if medicine was used. Here the extra cost in food from a full year at 2x hunger *clearly* exceeds the cost of a few medicine, but I have no way to override Pharmacist and force it to treat this condition with medicine.

In short, I feel we need a way to force medicine usage for a specific pawn, or Pharmacist should consider using medicine for diseases without a natural immunity gain.

As is, I'm almost forced to temporarily uninstall the mod to treat Gut Worms properly.

I was just looking to see if this had been brought up. I'm not much of a modder, but if it's possible to add a new category for long term/curable diseases like the various worms I'd welcome that update with open arms.

Aside from also allowing you to choose the level of care of the severity of injuries/diseases, it allows you to right-click an injury or illness and custom choose what medicine to use for it. This means that things like Gut Worms and Blood Rot, which do not go away until they are treated enough, will follow the custom medicine level you set for their entire duration.
I won't swear this is a perfect solution, but it definitely works in all the cases I needed it to.
(And if you are worried, both Smart Medicine and this mod can work together just fine. It says so on their workshop page, and I used them together for years. I just find Pharmacist largely redundant now.)

I've had to reinstall windows since posting this, but I believe I had smart medicine installed on this playthrough. I don't know that I ever knew about the right-click to set the level for a specific ailment, so thank you for that. I'll have to try it out next time I get a game going.

would setting the minimum be "herbal medicine" work?
or just manually check with the "numbers" mod when they can be tended to again and administer high quality medicine

not something worth making and exeption for tho, fluffy is a busy cat ^^

I'm having a similar issue with Fibrous Mechanites, can't seem to treat them. I'm assuming this mod is overriding the treatment option, since I can't think of another mod that would cause the issue (but I do run at least 150+). If someone can think of another mod that might cause such a conflict with this mod, that would be nice to know. Otherwise, I guess this mod needs an override option... although Smart Medicine might fix this, hasn't been updated for 1.3 yet.
