Honestly, I doubt I can do anything to fix the Penetration effect-- it's possible their changes to the hull/armour/shield system essentially "broke" it and that the internal code it uses no longer works.

I'll have to do some tweaking at somepoint.

You're getting some wires crossed or thinking of something from another mod. I have no module that adds shields and armour/hull regen, and certainly not one that adds 40 regen, and definitely not one with a shield icon and a description that mentions nanites.

Finally got around to tweaking the way phased plasma works. It should now have a strong shield penetration bonus but also some armour/hull damage penalties.

Probably not a whole lot I can do then. People need to harass Paradox to get the modifier systems to actually work for aux slots, because if they're not working on modules then they may not be working on an empire-wide basis either, and their existing aux modules may not be working either.

I'll probably move the Panopticon to the sensor slot anyways, just to keep from stacking shenanigans.

Thinking about it, I might also move the Cores to the Power slot, that way I can scale their strength based on hull size.

yep but if you start to cores pls also start with repairs and enhanced hull armor shields

covettes with lvl 2 super heavy makes a battleship :D

..not sure what you're trying to say here? I won't be making it so the Bastion/Warden/etc. are available from the start; they'll still need their associated research to be completed first.

Yes, cores not being available on defense platforms is intentional. It's been the case since earlier builds.

Not necessarily. I think it's possible to add compatibility with other ship mods, but the problem is if those mods are updated.

The main problem is that the sidebar for drive/sensors/etc. gets kinda cluttered as it stands. Adding even more options to that would be... not great, let's say.
