Report a translation problem
Honestly, I doubt I can do anything to fix the Penetration effect-- it's possible their changes to the hull/armour/shield system essentially "broke" it and that the internal code it uses no longer works.
I'll have to do some tweaking at somepoint.
I'll probably move the Panopticon to the sensor slot anyways, just to keep from stacking shenanigans.
Thinking about it, I might also move the Cores to the Power slot, that way I can scale their strength based on hull size.
..not sure what you're trying to say here? I won't be making it so the Bastion/Warden/etc. are available from the start; they'll still need their associated research to be completed first.

Yes, cores not being available on defense platforms is intentional. It's been the case since earlier builds.

Not necessarily. I think it's possible to add compatibility with other ship mods, but the problem is if those mods are updated.
The main problem is that the sidebar for drive/sensors/etc. gets kinda cluttered as it stands. Adding even more options to that would be... not great, let's say.
